I just wanted to post a few examples of things people can do to help out the club in the short term even hopefully showing that even the smallest amounts can mount up and make a difference
Buy a half time draw ticket. £1 each. We could easily make close to £1k from this based on a crowd of 2k.
Programmes. £3. Even selling just 500 = £1500.
Merchandise. 200 people buying one item at roughly £30 average = £6000.
Upgrading season tickets to VIP for the rest of the season. 100 people at £60 average = £6000.
Half season tickets. 200 people at £120 = £24k, potentially doubled to £48k by Marwan.
Next home game. 3 weeks until the next home game after tonight but buy your ticket early and get the money into the club? Tickets on sale at tonight's game. 500 sales x £20 = £10k.
There's potentially £70k plus tonight's gate receipts into the clubs coffers for very little effort really.

Well I'm skinter than a skint thing but my work is cancelled this evening so I'm going to buy two tickets on the gate, that's about all I can afford right now.
If this lottery ticket comes off I'll head in tomorrow and clean out the club shop

Great positive posts guys keep em coming. I'll tell you what isn't positive from tonight.
There was a lady wearing a rather ingenious hoody which said something along the lines of member of the fans board see me for more details, what hampered her cause was the fact that she knew was with/knew a guy who possibly had had a shandy too much and was going apoplectic at the match officials in a rather vociferous way.
Few people passed comment so I'd guess not the most pro active support recruiter.

Good stuff guys.
No home game (therefore no income) for close to 3 weeks now. I'm sure it would help the club if people bought their match tickets for the next game earlier than normal.
Also half season tickets now reduced (1 less game) to £103 adults and £30 kids. A decent saving for a potential 7 remaining home games for anyone who can afford to pay for them all upfront.

Well whoever has done the postcode lotto in Eccles, they have some big cash coming their way so a big donation wouldn't go a miss

Went on Friday with the intention of buying a half season ticket but ended up not doing as the nagging doubt over the release of our best players remains. Not going to put another donation down on the table if our assets are going to be stripped at the first possible opportunity.

Well, that’s the thing with short term cash flow. If you don’t have cash then you need to raise some, dispose of assets. That’s not asset stripping and it’s not an opportunity,it’s paying the bills !
Seriously,I understand your point but let’s try and keep some positivity going,it’s more difficult ,I know, but also more worthwhile.

It's a vicious circle I suppose. Can understand MR's point but if we don't raise any extra funds then we probably will end up selling another player. The half ST idea is the clubs idea to raise these funds in the short term. Pay for the remaining games upfront for anyone who can afford it, fans get one (possibly two) games free and the club get some much needed income.
I know people will say it's not worth it because of how they are playing which is also fair enough however there's been a number of Salford teams over the years that could be described as lazy and disinterested but I don't think you can say that about our current squad. They might be depleted in numbers but they put a decent shift in IMO.

I did as other people on Friday, a programme and half time draw and as you say the club are trying raise some funds which with the ST idea will be topped up by Marwan which in itself could raise a decent amount depending on the take up of the offer. I wonder what other fund raising ideas may come out shortly,I understood from the Walkden British Legion meeting that there was possibly a meeting with various people over fundraising, anyone any ideas of this meeting?

I'll say it AGAIN.
Sure if the club gave the hard core of fans a method of making a regular monthly contribution they would get a fair few takers, I'm not talking telephone numbers but I'd put £50 PM into the coffers but again I need to hear from the horses mouth that these reports of a fire sale when/if we get clear of 9th are baseless, simply not going to prop up a regime that releases the tools that can help the club survive.

I get that. The regime has no money, they’re not benefactors. They are administrators in the literal sense. They have to pay bills as they occur, particularly the government ones ! They can’t give assurances. I admire your £50 a month pledge,I really do,but I think all the commitment you’ll get is that we’ll do the best we can,and who can argue with that ?
