I think it appalling what Peel are doing, they take enough out of the North West, millions in profit each year own half of the North west, tax exile living in the isle of Man paying very little or no tax & expecting us the tax paying public to foot the bill. I hope Salford & Trafford go after the highway robbers in the form of Peel, they have my support. In other news, the enterprise of Peel Holdings and a forward looking council transformed Salford from where it looked like heading into a commercial and media hub. I’m sure we all remember the red brick wall down the length of Trafford Road. From there,Peel helped attract the BBC Remarkable

From there,Peel helped attract the BBC Remarkable We should remember peel have built there empires on government funded tax payers money, they use very little of there own funds, they are very clever people. I don't knock the enterprise of Peel, they have regenerated Salford for the better, but don't kid yourself these people will screw every last penny out of us. I am not defending Salford council, although they have continued to support our club when less than 1% of the Salford public, actually bothering to support the club. I unfortunately don't know the actual terms but Peel will steam roller the councils into submission, with not a thought to the residents of Irlam.

That’s far too much of a generalisation. Like all property companies, they take grants where available but it’s totally wrong to say that they use very little of their own money. They use banks to borrow and use their own funds. They are a soft target and I just don’t think they’re given enough credit for the regeneration of Salford after taking over MSC. But also I have no doubt that they are very tough negotiators and difficult if you’re on the wrong side of them. This is not a pr announcement on behalf of Peel but there have been positives as well as negatives from their involvement in the City

I'd not be worrying it will take 2 years to open, that is just a blatant MEN tactic of seeing the worse case scenario and putting that forward as the likely outcome. Have heard whispers that the council are going to play Peel at their own game and concede to the demand they maintain and insure the bridge then control when the bridge can and can't be lifted causing Peel major headaches and possibly legal issues with access.

Presumably now transferring the match traffic from the car park at the ground or the A57 to the car park on the M60.

Presumably now transferring the match traffic from the car park at the ground or the A57 to the car park on the M60. What is Happening to the A57- Liverpool RD Section that The New bit replaced? Will it be Safer to cross for pedestrians if you park at Barton Airport?

Should be much safer, and slightly shorter the old bits gone. I would have thought you can just walk down the new bit and cross at the lights.

Will it be Safer to cross for pedestrians if you park at Barton Airport? You can now walk all the way from the aerodrome to the Barley Farm without touching the road, then a quick hop over the road by the new crossings and you're at the stadium in time to buy the newly inflated priced beer.

Tell me about it, had 4 flights booked in November and December and 3 of then cancelled, the good news is I got £80 per flight compo but the flights I used to use have been scrapped so neither use nor ornament.

I'm reconsidering if coming over for the Swinton friendly is Really worth the hassle Due to Mr O'Learys Knobheadeness But it's Still more appealing than coming to watch us at Warrington And Having to see Murdoch - Masila playing against us!!
