If Carney stands up and decides he wants to play to his full potential (ala Warrington away), I know it's a big 'if' but then we can live with out Lui being available.
The one for me is Brinning as we need the speed and eagerness around the ruck.

You are Obriens dad and I claim £10. Doesn't work though, dixon. I haven't lorded one player over any other on here. Look at the O'Brien/Evalds thread. I like them both. Different play styles for different situations, whereas you stubbornly refuse to accept anything that interrupts your Evalds vinegar strokes. You are the Theresa May of Deviltalk...Evalds at the back. Strong and stable. Carney the best halfback at the club, strong and stable. We wont win anything without accepting more austerity. Fourth in the regular season - it may all come falling down. Semi-final - Doomed. Less is more. War is Peace; Freedom is Slavery; Ignorance is Strength...  I said in my opinion Evalds was the best fullback at the club that's my opinion.I don't go for all this moving players about its a semi final you pick the best players in their best positions.I don't know if you was at Wigan early on this season when we won,that night Evalds was fullback scored two and caught everything in sight.Then Watson started moving him about just to get Obrien in the team,Then Evalds is back at fullback so I presume Watson has decided he is the best. |

A bit like Mr Corbyn - Mr Dixon omits relevant facts. O`Brien was rested for the Wigan game to give Mr Dixon`s family a lift. Look at the Devils record this season with GOB at Full Back - we havent lost many.
Please understand we need to win on Sunday. Having Niall at Full Back will not give us the style or the width to win and GOB can do that job.
Its all about opinions but mine is for GOB at FB without a shadow of doubt.

I'd chip in with they are both decent fb's and are equally safe under the bomb. You could argue evalds returns it better but GOB joins the line better and is a better tackler. close but GOB for me. Wigan have a very strong left side so on our right we need to be water tight.

I don't think there's a right or wrong answer here. You can make a claim for either GOB or Evalds starting at FB this weekend. We're in a very fortunate position that we have 2 very good players who can play that role very astutely.

Good grief, I've woke up and we're all acting like we are on the Warrington site. Ha ha, was thinking the same. Spent last night watching the first half of Salford v Wigan from 1996, saved the second half for today. oh what a great day. Up there with the best ever. So excited for Sunday, wake up thinking about it cant concentrate in work and go to sleep thinking about it. As the days slowly tick by I'm getting more confident, come on solly! |
