I am a passionate fan & attend with a large group of fans who have season tickets in the west stand. We continually bring the casual supporter to our games, I have another one for tonight's game. I also support the club by taking a table through my company, however both IB & MK are seriously pissing me off, we are doing are bit but I don't see the magic marketing from the club. I feel the club have another agenda, one MK is determined to prove, is continued blocking of fans on Twitter for raising questions about remaining Salford is the most childish act to date. 🙁

Twitter should probably only be used by the Under 15's; sadly the way this highly intelligent man behaves is like a 10 year old. Passion is one thing but rudeness cannot be excused.

Blease was on the radio again last night yet again going on about crowds.
His next master stroke is to go round in a van(arranged by the foundation I might add) advertising Salford.
He said he could spend money on marketing but it's not worth it as it is not working.
He again commented on the 1.6 k season ticket holders and 600 corporate exec members more or less blaming us😳
He then said the new road would not help with crowd figures.
His comments really did point to a name change and a move of the club.
Remember Blease and MK the club was here a long time before you were here and will continue to do so after you have gone.

It's one thing Marwan (who has no previous ties with the club) pushing for a move but Blease should be ashamed of himself as an ex-player and a Salford (well Swineton) lad to boot. He should know full well what the issues are with our fan base and why we struggle for fans but he's obviously not as intelligent as we all thought. I'd love to hear some ex-players come out and vocally oppose the proposed name change.
I know if I'd have been lucky to have pulled on the Salford shirt as a fan I'd have happily voiced my concerns. We've all highlighted numerous ways that the club can be marketed on here which will cost peanuts but the club genuinely don't seem ar$ed to put the effort in. For starters the East Stand should be open on Thu to schools and community clubs like Folly, Langworthy, Cadishead Rhinos etc. Fill it with the next generation of fans and get them hooked. Just don't hand out any horns FFS!😀

Just don't hand out any horns FFS!😀 We will only get people coming when we win something.Not just be on 24 points and safe for this season.I don't think we will win anything I don't think the team his good enough with what we have the most we can hope for is not being in the bottom four so I would consider the season a success but that's not good enough to get people flocking to Barton. |

Oxymoron  Spoke with people I know exclusively from going to Salford last night and some like me said they couldn't be arsed if the club don't value us as ST holders. I'll have 2 with me, if others want to come I'll grab tickets for them but I'm not going to become a de facto recruiter for the club. |

Sadly there is no market demand for a Salford club in Superleague. When you give a product for free like the Catalan game and still didn't see a huge increase it tells you all you need to know. How many of the Salford population support their local club? It's about 1% and we have decent stadium facilities and a team doing very well. If we could attract a measly 4 - 5% it would be happy days but it's not going to happen. We must be the number one worst supported club in professional sport compared to the size of population. Like it or not Salford RLFC without a beneficiary are simply a championship club and always have been since the 1930's. I'm a proud and passionate Salfordian but I've accepted that bigger crowds under Salford will never happen.
As a supporter for years I've always looked for excuses like we need better facilities, a better team, a winning team and we have this now and crowds have got worse. It hurts me to say but It's just not working and it's never going to improve in it's present guise.

When you bring people and they see an entire stand empty and a ground a 1/4 full it doesn't help sell it to people. First impressions. |
