There is now a huge benefit gig on Sunday at Lancs CC meaning a football game has been brought forward, will this affect our game?
One hell of a lot of people coming into the city from all corners for 3 events in 1 day.

If you'd rather watch Michael Carricks testimonial over Salford v Wakey a top-4 clash you need to have a word with yourself.
As for the concert as much as I don't follow any of the acts who're playing after what's happened it will be pretty special. I do believe it's on BBC so hopefully our crowds not effected too much.

Well, I reckon it's interesting anyway.

Tough game coming up on Sunday, Wakefield have been playing really well. We've been rock solid at home though this season, so fingers crossed we can keep our run of form going. Hoping for a big turn out as well I've been looking at the tables for the past couple of seasons since the Super 8s format came in: 2015, after regular 23 games: Leeds - 33pts Saints - 32 Wigan - 31 Huddersfield - 28 2016, after regular 23 games: Hull - 34pts Warrington - 33 Wigan - 32 Saints - 28 I know only 2 seasons isn't a load to go off, but 28 points has been enough to secure a top 4 spot. We're currently on 24, so two more wins could seal it, which would be great as I believe that means we get 4 home games for the Super 8s rather than 3. And considering that we're 5 points clear of Hull in 5th and 8 off Wigan and 6th..... I might be getting ahead of myself a bit here, but if you look at who the top 4 were after the Super 8s in those two seasons: 2015, after Super 8s Leeds - 41pts Wigan - 41 Huddersfield - 38 Saints - 38 2016, after Super 8s Warrington - 43pts Wigan - 42 Hull - 40 Saints - 40 Still a fair chunk of points to pick up going off previous years, yet still plenty of games to play. Also, the four teams which have ended up in the semi-finals have been the exact same top four as at the end of the regular 23 rounds, which we're pretty close to wrapping up as I put above. Exciting times!

The target then is 38-40 points for a top 4 finish. So thats 7-8 wins from the remaining 14 fixtures.

The good thing is we're a small squad and have cover in every position. Carney covering for Dobson is wonderful and Evalds is a good wing.
They were robbed at Wakefield, penalty count 9:1 in the first half to Wakefield with Tasi in the bin as well. The Wakefield centres were really good and Evalds, in the centre, had his worst game ever. And of course Ben dropped the ball over the line after their centre fell over and tripped him.
So we really do owe them one.

Apparently Wakefield without Miller, Walker and Arona with long term injuries after last weekends matches. Didn't Johnson hobble off Monday? Does anyone know if Dobson was rested or is injured? For me Carney showed if he is fully fit he has to not only be in the squad but start, his creativity was there for all to see on Monday and should scare the life out of every SL team.
