Yes I suppose your right, it is difficult however as I feel the game tomorrow is there to be won and another two points in the bag. We are in a position that i and ive no doubt others, could only have dreamt about last year and at the start of the season was hoping that we would not be in the middle 8`s etc so I suppose I`m being a little greedy in my way of thinking. We have got away lightly this year with the injury front compared to others and ive no doubt our time will come, but hopefully not soon.

Tony, I understand your concerns re saving players etc, however this is a game that we should be going out to win in order to consolidate our top 2 position and then hopefully finish in the top 4 by the end of the season. The team have been going really well and have avoided injuries thus far, however I still think that the rotation adopted by Ian Watson has been top drawer and I will go whichever way he plays it. Yes Wakefield have some missing, but that's not a reason for us to hold anything back. If we pick up the odd knock then so be it and we can cross that bridge when we come to it, but I don't agree as regards preferring to lose this one. Lets win em all and get to Wembley. We can roate the half back partnerships and have sufficient forwards also in order to progress and win this game against a very strong squad in Wakefield and they should not under estimated in anyway, even if they have a couple missing. I think you've missed my point, which wasn't very well put. I don't want to lose this game. I was merely commenting on two possible scenarios. First, risking serious long-term injury to two players (other posters have suggested that both Lui and BMM are carrying injuries), second, having a fully-fit squad for the rest of the season. The comment about "prefering to lose this game..." was just to emphasise how much I would prefer to have a fully-fit squad for the rest of the season. I thought my final sentence should have made that clear. I want us to win this game. Just not at the expense of the rest of the season. Redjack probably put it better than I did. We have the squad depth to rotate players, so why risk them? If Lui is carrying an injury (I don't know if that is even true), then play Dobson and Carney. It won't weaken the team. (I do know that every player risks serious injury every time they play, but we should try hard to minimise that risk.) Anyway, I am loving this season. Let's keep winning.

I think the backroom staff have managed the squad really well this season. We certainly put out consistently strong 17's. It's been a good combination of man management, recovery, and injury rotation. The importance of utility in players was identified by Watson early in his tenure and it has served us very well this season. We are very lucky that we have good cover in the spine positions. FB, both HB's, and hooker.

Oh well.
I'd forgot what it felt like after a Salford loss. It's just as horrible as I remember.
By the sounds of things we were not at the races. Need to sort it for next week...

It was a strange game. We had way more possession & field position than wakey, especially first half, just couldn't find a way through. I still felt we could come back and win until they went 22-18 up...After that it just felt like a repeat of the away game at Wakey. Credit to wakey, they took their chances much better than us & defended well.

You can't give away 3 tries through mistakes and hope to win. At least in the second half they stopped the predictable moves to O'Brien and hammered them down the middle.
Tasi said after the match that the defeat will do them good. They'll be some tired and beaten bodies for Friday.
At least we know what we're up against in the cup, that's the big one. Koppy, Ben, Lui, Bibby all injured at the end. Be an interesting team selection for Friday, Murray, Bent, Connor, Carney could all be in to give some respite to the rest. Thought Tasi was awesome.

Thought Tasi was awesome. Tasi was awesome today, did huge minutes too. BMM almost made the tackle of the season, putting our backs to shame when chasing back from the opposite side of the pitch to try and prevent wakes second try. Kasniqi & kopzchak were both great. Need to get kasniqi signed up long term (I don't think he is yet?). We lost the game in the backs IMO, just not enough creativity today. Evalds is worrying in defence at times, once a man is past him, he rarely seems to try and chase him down. Wakey read all our plays far too well. Hopefully we've got an ace up our sleeves for the cup match.

The last try was irrelevant! Congrats to Wakefield, they had our flowing right to left move sorted. Sadly,we didn't change tactics until half time by which time Junior had tried unsuccessfully to batter his way through brick walls on far too many occasions. We made 3 mistakes, they scored 3 tries. MCB was tremendous and we want him back. I think Watson was timid when he introduced Carney. It wasn't Rob Lui's day and he should have made way, instead of playing with a forward short. The pack was tremendous and ,right at the beginning of the second half,we started going down the middle which was more productive. Tremendous game which showed that there's no substitute for extreme pace. Sadly, they had it rather than us

Pretty much inevitable that was coming, you can't keep trying to pick the same 17 and not get jaded.
MCB should never have been at Wakefield and next season he should be back 'home' (or one of the big boys from Lancashire will sign him and he'll instantly become an international).
If we rested Dobson last game then surely Lui should have got a weekends break, Carney should have been utilised more than a being a 2nd half replacement.
Think we in the stands could sense something was amiss as the atmosphere was as flat as the performance, it only picked up briefly in the 2nd half when we went ahead.
I'll take that as a reality check, sure the marginally better team won, given a fresher squad 100% we would have battered Wakefield today.

Don't think we can blame that. Agree though bound to lose at some point still in a very healthy position, win next week and it's still all good. Hopefully a reality check and we can go on another long unbeaten run.

Not our day today. First try looked like a two on one strip, third looked like a blatant knock on. Lui should have made way for Carney at HT.
I think we'll beat them in the cup because i doubt we'll be this bad again and hopefully not have Hicks reffing.

Out done today, fair play to wakey. We looked goosed so they streched us. Fancy our chances in the main event though, think we're the better team.o
