Big game coming up on Monday (They all seem to be now don't they? Life's tough at the top ). If we win and Wigan beat Wakey we will be 6 points clear of 5th place with seven to play. Three of those games are at home against the teams currently in 3rd, 4th and 5th I'm not sure if the Wolves being hammered does us a favour or not - it could affect their confidence or they could be more determined to get back on track. The scoreline didn't reflect the game so we shouldn't read too much into it. We should be full of confidence after our performance yesterday, if we can back up with another strong defensive display we will be in with a decent chance I guess a lot of it will come down to who recovers quicker in the short turnaround and how many injuries both teams picked up. Jones limped off so he's got to be a doubt. We didn't seem to pick up many more injuries. Sau was fit yesterday but they decided to rest him so he can come back in for Jones. In his press conference Watto said Carney might be in contention for a place but i'll believe it when i see it I continue to have this strange feeling of confidence going into games but this will be a tough one

I think it is still a tough ask. If we were at home I'd be more confident. Saying that, a lot of Wire fans seem convinced that a loss at home to us after that drubbing will signal the end for Smith. Whether that's true or not who knows? But one things for sure, they are a shadow of their own ability at the moment. Although, more than any other team, I think they are a team capable of turning it on and being unplayable. Let's hope that we're not as fatigued as they are and we can hit them hard while they are still down.

Wire (on paper) have a really strong pack but in all honesty their backline and halves (Stef excepted) is utter dog turd. If we play as we have been doing I'm confident of a win. Some of their wins recently have papered over the cracks as they've been scraping some really tight wins over poor to average teams.

First time i can remember going to Warrington as favourites (assuming we must be?) hopefully we deliver. Love wire away plenty of pubs within walking distance, last seasons game there was a real low point let's hope we do ourselves justice this time!

It will very interesting to see how Wire respond after getting spanked by Leeds on Sky.
We need to get off to a flyer like we did against Catalan and they might start to get annoyed with oneanother and lose their heads.
In all honesty though I think we'll go there and do the job and make it 7 wins on the bounce. Let's take a massive following, get behind the lads and make this and weekend to remember.

Apart from Mossop we're just about at full strength, Carney needs to get game time and earn his corn for me, can see him being a big cup player and really making his mark in one off winner takes all games.
Still think we will struggle to win on Monday, just think that while it is good for continuity to keep playing the same 17 it will take its toll and I suspect Monday will be the time we notice it, Friday must have been very draining for all the players, both from the physical side in the heat but potentially more with then enormity of the occasion.
A win and I will be properly impressed.
Should also say whoever drops out of the 19 can feel themselves extremely unlucky as not one performance recently has been anything other than stellar.

Arguably George Griffin and Adam Walne based on this seasons form, as well as Josh Jones from last night. but totally agree that is a very strong squad, not sure who misses out.

Ive worried about the size of our pack at times this season especially if the mossop out for the season rumours are true - at the magic weekend most notably we struggled and against Warrington we could be truly tested. Really don't agree with two game in a short space of time that's twice this season but I suppose it's the same for all the teams. They are down right now but can't be underestimated. Cmon Solly!

It's not the same for all teams though is it ? Pies and stains played Thursday so get an extra days rest, likewise at Easter there were Thursday and I think even. Wednesday game. Small thing but it's never us that get the extra day.

I agree about the size of our pack, it's been a worry and there are times in most games when we struggle to get out of our half or give our kickers a good position to be kicking from. To be fair though we have used our outside backs and centres for drives in our own half so much it is hard to be sure how we would go if it was just down to the forwards. Our pack tends to get interested around the 40m mark. I think the rest they pack get when the backs do 3 or 4 drives in quite a few sets means they can play more minutes and be more effective as the opponent's pack tires.
Overall I've been really impressed with how well we've stood up again st some bigger packs this year. Our four first choices for the front row - Kopczak, Tasi, Walne and Mossop have all been immense. Our second choices have done fine when they've come in - Murray, Krasniqi and now Hasson have all been solid enough. Krasniqi has had some excellent games. The back row has been strong too - BMM is almost unplayable at times, Griffin was getting better in his wider role until his injury, Jones is less effective at SR than centre in my view but still strong, Flanagan has been his usual great self, Hauraki has been in his best form for us since he came back from injury, Lannon has started to look the real deal we all hoped he would be and Krasniqi has done well when he's played there too. It will be really interesting to see how both packs go tomorrow and if we try and get three forwards on the bench or go with Brining and Carney on the bench to try and move the Warrington pack around more. Missing Mossop, Griffin and Jones is a challenge. Looking at the squad i guess the props will be Koppy, Tasi, Krasniqi and Hasson. back row - BMM, Hauraki, Flanagan, Lannon on bench. But one of those will have to miss out to fit Carney into the team. Glad i don't have to decide these things!

Does anyone know how far Mossop and Griffin are from being back in contention?
I heard Lui picked up a slight niggle, so I'd expect Todd Carney to be on the bench. I'd go with...
O'Brien Evalds Sa'u Welham Johnson Lui Dobson Tasi Tomkins Hasson BMM Hauraki Krasniqi
Brining Koppy Flanagan Carney

If Lui's picked up a knock rest him why risk him if we've TC available, if it gets aggravated we could end up losing him for longer and there's still a long way to go. Then bring Lannon or Murray into the 17 and have 3 forwards on the bench, Warrington are a big pack and we'll need the inter changes.
