Cracking performance which matched our following today. Don't want to single people out but though Lui & Sau first class and Carneys kicking game top draw.

Kin hell were actually rather good aren't we? Think today is the day I believe top four and a shot at the league shield is possible. You also cannot put this form down to one or two players anymore either, every player coming in is proving their worth - how do you leave Carney out after that? And as for the other Carney well evalds is a scoring machine that better get used to playing wing cos he's mustard, well done squad great effort. Now I'm off for a lie down.

I missed Friday due to work, and was in Fishguard for work all weekend, so hit the road 8.45am, and drove through tough bank holiday traffic for 6 hrs and got in to the ground at kickoff. And it was totally worth it. What an utterly complete performance. Carney's kicking game sublime. Sau and Lui were awesome. But we were good right across the park, and totally nullified them as a threat. Not much voice left now!
I still think castleford are maybe better than us, but nobody else is. What a time to be a Salford fan!

What an incredible performance. Another one!
I was saying on the train how weird it feels going into games expecting to win and hoping we don't lose rather than the other way round
To win and play that well without Dobbo, Welham, Jones, Mossop and Tomkins is amazing. Carney was fantastic. He has given Watto a headache in the way EValds did when he covered for GOB I don't know what to say about Lui. He doesn't look like he should be a stand off and at times looks like he's never seen a rugby ball, his crazy leap into the air looks ridiculous. but somehow it all works, 2 great breaks today and his all round game was incredible GOB had his kicking boots back on and some of his passing was a delight - his long pass out to Evalds to free him to set Sau up was lovely Sau was unstoppable at times. Johnson didn't score but set up positions for us time after time, he is so hard to tackle. Evalds can't help but score and it makes up for his light weight runs from his own half, how he got to and caught that grubber kick from Carney I don't know but you could see how much he enjoyed it. Brining showed his surprising strength again for his try and he played well all game The pack was fantastic. Warrington threw everything at us for the first 20 of the second half and we withstood it, tackling, scrambling, chasing. Brilliant
A special word for Wood and Bibby. Wood is so strong defensively. His ankle tap on Simms was a joy and he made some crunching tackles and was good with ball in hand and scooting from dummy half. Bibby is getting stronger and harder to tackle. He was opposite Ryan Atkins today who had a strong game and Bibby will have learned lots from it. He didn't look at all out of place, took his try well and tackled and ran hard all game
It is an absolute pleasure to watch this team play. And a fantastic turn out and volume from the fans too. Great atmosphere, rightly being tweeted by the journos at the game

HIGHLIGHTSI wasn't at the game today as I've been in London, but just seen the highlights and it looks like we completely bullied Warrington like we did against Catalans on Friday. It's an absolute pleasure watching this team play. We have quality throughout the team and for the first time in ages - strength in depth!

Some great RL played by us today full stop.

What an incredible day that was. Never thought I'd see such an assured Salford side. We turned up as favourites and from the very first minute the players acted as if they believed they were favourites. Every player seems so calm no matter what the situation. Ian Watson deserves all the credit!!
And our following today was truly superb!! The doctor can be under no illusions that the name is and shall remain SALFORD!!!

I was going to say that was my favorite away day of all time, but how many good away days have we had over the last 12 months?
Hull KR (£1m Game), Hull FC, Wigan and now beating last seasons league leaders on their home turf. Awesome just simply awesome!
Surely now is the time the people of Salford come out and support this team? If they don't they are well and truely missing out on some of the best Rugby we've ever seen in Salford (if not the best).
Just praying that we make that Challenge Cup semi-final now so we've got something to get really excited about! I think a trip to Wembley could catch the eyes of the City and will allow us to increase ST sales significantly for next season. Keep the faith!

An excellent performance. Earlier in the season, some people were asking whether Salford had the squad depth to last the course. For the Bank Holiday weekend, we had three front line players missing, and were able to make five changes from the team that beat Catalans on Friday. There's your answer.
Warrington were as poor as Salford were excellent. For me, the second worst team we've faced so far this season. The worst was Widnes, and, like Widnes, Warrington seemed to have no clue what to do once they got into an attacking position. Nice to think that Ian Watson was able to rest a few for this game, and that our replacement half-back was better than either of their halves by a country mile. Heh.
That win now means that, unless there's any off-field bell-endery leasing to a points deduction (not impossible), we are now guaranteed to finish no lower than 10th.

I thought Wire were gash and thoroughly enjoyed seeing them suffer if I'm honest.😊 Especially having read their forum this morning and not seen one complimentary comment about Salford, which tends to be the case when we beat one of the supposed "big boys". I backed us with the bookies at 6/4 as I was confident of a fairly comfortable win before I saw the teamsheet and a few of the faces missing. I needn't have worried as I thought we were excellent. Forget Wire being poor... how many teams go to the HJ and put almost 40 points on them? Thought our pack more than matched their more vaunted opposition and our backline and halves were outstanding (Junior ran riot!). Whilst it would be churlish to single out individuals, I thought Todd Carney showed bags of class and you can see he just has that extra level when he's got ball in hand. His decision making on when to run, pass or kick was exemplary and the execution at times sublime. Unless he has some serious attitude problems then there is more than enough space in this squad to keep him with Dobbo, Lui & GOB.
Wakey will be a tough nut to crack this weekend and have plenty of strike power to cause us problems but I'm sure they'll be plenty concerned with how to stop a team flying high on confidence and fearing no-one.
Can't wait for Sunday... should be a belter!

Well at least we didn't get labelled 'bang average' like Leeds did after they trounced them 40-0.

This from the Warrington board;
"For years we have ridiculed and mocked Koukash as he tried (and failed) to assemble a team of highly paid players from round the league… But he has learnt from his mistakes and improved. We now find ourselves being thrashed at home by Salford.."

I see the Warrington board has gone into "sack the coach" meltdown; as it did for years and years. So I do not expect owt nice in the comments: too much navel gazing.
In the pub after the match (Angel), I got a lot of positives from the Warrington fans: much was on the line of "I like the way you play" with very complimentary comments comparing our players with their players. So do not assume sulks.

They have a point when you look at some of the signings Tony Smith has made recently: Asotasi (past it), Sandow (troubled), Brown (over-rated), Russell (ordinary), Bailey (all four). The part I don't quite understand is how the bobbins signings Salford made were down to Koukash and not Noble or Harris. In fact, if you look at some of those Salford signings - big, Antipodean, old - they look like a typical Brian Noble shopping list, yet it's all the owner's fault, not the coach. The Warrington fans don't seem to be blaming Simon Moran for their poor signings, just Tony Smith. Weird eh?

Would have him in our squad system in a heartbeat, think that Warrington put so much on Sandow being the next big thing they have never really got over him leaving, do think that Carney might have put himself in the shop window a bit on Monday, if we don't keep him you can see Warrington being high up on the list of suitors.
