The process has now closed and the club are looking to meet people face to face, would love to see who is chosen for this, the cynic in me suspects that they will cherry pick people rather than some of the more outspoken people. Put my name forward for this but won't hold my breath on being selected! Out watching SOO1 on Wednesday as well so may be a little "oiled" by 3.30pm if they do give me a call.😂

I still doubt it and these rumours are imo total fabrication. Why would MK alienate fans who supply £30k+ a game? He is tied in with the Lease & CVA. Madness if he moves and changes the name & you dont get to be that wealthy if you are mad. The little stadium at the Etihaad holds 5,500 so what does that tell you about ambition? We need to stop guessing and back the team 100%.

I support Salford the name, history, fans, memories.
Going to a club called Manchester means fook all to me.
I am born and bred Middleton all my immediate family born and bred Salford.
The name means a lot to me, lose it and that's me gone

Just seen our marketing guru in a bar on the toon, had a very frank and long chat about his merits for the job and reasons for name change
Let me say now he was very accomadting of a clearly drunk and angry me, but I couldn't let this opportunity go by
Crux of the long justification of his role and reason for rebrand; Manchester is much bigger. No ****. Apparently Salford is no bigger than Halifax so he says
I'm not going to bore you with my arguments against this joke of an excuse.
Don't be fooled by the rhetoric out of the club at the moment, as it stands they have decided to change the name and we need to make sure this doesn't happen

Badger you have to remember that our marketing guru is not a highly qualified consultant who's been in the business all his life but someone who doesn't work with facts needs to promote hot air in many places to earn a crust.
Halifax is a TOWN with a population of about 90,000
Salford is CITY, part of a major conurbation, with a population of about 230,000

If we got to one of the finals, what would our ticket allocation be ? Surely we'd take around 5000 to Wembley and 6-7k to Old Trafford. I can't see the club changing names in the 'middle' of the season with silverware still up for grabs.
