Today's total reversal in weather conditions is a leveller for them, will make it more of a forwards game than the fast flowing effort I was hoping for. Agreed, I think it will be similar to Leigh at home Good Friday scrappy low scoring affair. Salford 16 Hull KR 6 I am going for

Today's total reversal in weather conditions is a leveller for them, will make it more of a forwards game than the fast flowing effort I was hoping for. Personally I can't see a little rain slowing the game down too much considering just how dry it's been over the past 2-3 weeks. The ground has been very firm and cracking over the previous few days so I can't see it having a huge impact other than a possibly wet ball. This said the balls these days are more textured than they used to be and are much easier to grip in wet conditions. I think it tends to be more of a leveller when the ground is really soft and boggy as it slows players down and can be more fatiguing on the legs.

Think the surface will be very greasy more than wet, should be a Robert Dazzler anyway.

We managed to play awful and still win. I'll take it. They scored two soft tries, the second of which shouldn't have stood. Second half showed a gulf in class even with the awful conditions. Thought HKR gave it a decent shot in the first half but ran out of gas trying to keep up with our pack in the second half. We'll need to improve if we want a semi-final spot though.

Happy with that, said to my mate we'd struggle 1st half based on them having the bit between their teeth, 2nd half showed this years new level of professionalism. Couple of points of order, were we deliberately not looking for consecutive sets of 6? If my memory serves the 1st wasn't until the 2nd half when Welham forced a drop out. Second is at one point when they were down to 12 Cockayne was #1 but in the line on tackle 1 but we just trundled it up, the very next play they kicked long when Evalds was in the line early in the count and nearly got the ball back, point being when we have Johnsons pace why every so often don't we try the early long kick or chip over the top? Ryan Lannon, going to take a million years for him to not look like a tit for the early try scoring celebration All in all happy to be in the hat and it's another positive in the clubs cap with another win.

We made hard work of it , but the game has always been one of momentum , so if Welham had managed to touch the ball down with his two chances early in the first half before Hull KR scored , then the first half might have turned out differently . Thought Lama Tasi was immense , despite almost taking Lunt's head off in one tackle . Still think Brining is potentially class at hooker , a fraction quicker than most from dummy half , which he showed with that speed from loose forward for his try . Good atmosphere in the shed at times , but what the hell do this team / club have to do to get more folk to attend ? As for Ryan Lannon , viral social media fame beckons .......

A great win tonight I never expected it to be anything else other than a tough cup tie. Hats off to them they were very good in that first half and stuck at it when we moved up a gear. With the middle 8's in mind there will be a few worried SL clubs tonight after witnessing this match.

Pretty average game, first half was a struggle due to discipline and giving them momentum. 2ND half the pack came out and bossed them. TBH it should have been a lot more comfortable. Kr are a good outfit and should easily get out of that division next year. Koppy mom for me

Was tricky naming a MOM for me.
Koppy when he came on gave us so much more direction and impetus. Lui had his hand in everything. Evalds again was imperious and why Hull kept on continually peppering him with the towering kicks was strange. Brining, going to sound like the founder member of his fan club but for me we have a potential world beater, the scoot from the PTB is lightning fast and his defence is as good as anyone's, his try showed also that he has a ton of pace also. I'd also go on to say that if he continues his progression Australia might beckon in the future.

Can't believe he was in league 1 last season, our play always seems seems to step up a notch when he's on the field.

For me we should bring him and Koppy on 1ST interchange, quick scoot and pass to Mr Motivator and we canter in for a try.

Lunts first try was the fault of whoever was playing loose forward, it is the loose forwards job to control/ look after the opponents scum half. I don't think Flanagan would of missed him. Lunts second try was created by an obstruction

Lunts second try was created by an obstruction Spot on. When you look at it, they scored a soft try and got another that shouldn't have been. For all their pressure in the first half they never came close to scoring a worked try. We simply sat back and let them dictate the first half. Even so, with a bit more fortune we could have scored three tries instead of the single one we did score before the break. Second half was more like what we've been accustomed to, and when we played our game they were very much second best.

Seems like the HKR fans have caught Leyther syndrome on their board and seem to think;
A) A team top of the championship should be beating a team 3rd in SL.
B) Hicks shafted them.(I re-watched the recording when I got in last night and he actually got almost everything right bar a few PTB incidents)
C) We're breaking the cap again...
They played well, gave us a massive scare and should be proud of their effort AGAINST A BETTER TEAM yet they just want to show what a bunch of bitter clowns they are and make up any excuses fo the defeat.

Great game and good character shown to come back from 14 -0 down. Favourite part of the night for me was my dad teaching my kids the songs from when they went to Wembley in '69. To the tune of Gin Gan Ghoolie-
We've got Billy billy billy billy watson on the wing, on the wing...
