No Walne, Griffin or T Carney in that 19 but the names listed look very strong. Just goes to show how much strength in depth we've got. I can't remember the last time we had such depth. No Justin Carney and Flash Flanagan either. Strong squad this!

Think Carney is proving to be a waste of money,do hope that Lui is signed up long term and Carney quietly slips out the back door come the end of the season. As controversial as this may sound, I've never been sold on Lui. He's been amazing this season but he blows hot and cold. His kicking game isn't the best but if he can continue this rich vein of form I'd be more than happy to see him in a Salford shirt next season.

His long kicking game isn't the best as you say but we've had a few tries from his short kicks. The kick may only be as good as the chase but if the kick is crap, the chases is worthless

Still quite a bit of the season left yet, so there's time to be proven wrong about Carney when he gets properly fit and healthy. At least I hope he will. We've been fortunate with few injuries to the spine players so far, but I'd be surprised if we saw the end of the season out with Dobson/Lui/GoB still fully fit. Having Carney will be very useful at key times in the season.

Potential banana skin this one for me if we don't approach the game with the right enthusiasm and mentality. Leigh a couple of times and London and Bradford over the past couple of years have embarrassed us. I'm sure Hull KR will have a lot of confidence, a decent following behind them and will be desperately trying to avenge that million pound game. Furthermore lets not forget that Sheens will know more than most about our strengths and weaknesses. It's game on boys and I wouldn't expect an easy ride considering how Toronto run us close.

His contribution on the field thus far has been way short of expectations but I'm hoping this is due to settling in and a couple of injuries. Unfortunately following his poor Catalan performance and as the weeks pass it does have a Kevin Locke feel about it. However, the optimist in me is saying he's an elite level player and we will soon see his qualities in a red shirt. Lightening can't strike twice can it? Surely not.

The thing that bothers me is the ref. For the Toronto game Smith seemed to lose control of the off the ball and 'afters' in tackles and they seemed to lie offside all the time. Hicks at Wakefield penalised us 9:1 in the first half and had a shocker. The ref against Wigan, Campbell, was fair but if Hicks goes showboating, where he wants to be seen, who knows. Also Everything goes thro Dobbo and I just hope he keeps fit.
Given a fair wind it should be a win. Saw Leigh v Hull ko and Leigh threw it away. Hull are a good solid unit but nothing special(I hope!).

Think this could be our trickiest game this season, Hull lite will obviously have a point to prove after last year and with Sheens in charge they will know pretty much all our play book (good chance we will know a good deal of theirs also). I hope it doesn't get tasty (on and off the pitch) as they will definitely think they owe us one.
Not entirely sure I'd be bothered if we lost this, for me maintaining our top 4 position in the league is much more important, if we do win think a kind drawer and there's a Salford outing to the semis.

They'll be up for it no doubt but I think IW will have the lads well prepared. We need to blow them away and show them (and anyone watching) we're worthy of our top 4 spot and remind them why they were relegated. If things get out of control with late hits etc then we'll need to keep our cool and suck it up. I'm going for Salford by 18. Just another thought, they'll no doubt target Gaz for sending them down and I wonder if he'll be 'rested' rather than risked. If he takes one to many late hits it could reduce our squad going into the next few games.

I'd have Gaz on the bench and bring him on late in the game for a one pointer!

I reckon it will be something like
O'Brien Evalds Welham Sa'u Johnson Lui Dobson Kopczak Tomkins Mossop Murdoch-Masila Jones Krasniqi
Hauraki Lannon Tasi Brining
Or Sa'u will be rested more if he's not quite fit, jones to centre and Murray on bench with lannon or hauraki starting

Carney was got rid of by Catalans and from what I did see of him when he was there he did not impress. The Catalan game was his chance to shine and he blew it. Lui is a team player and his performances this year have been excellent. Dobbo is still the main man though, losing him through injury would be real blow.

Today's total reversal in weather conditions is a leveller for them, will make it more of a forwards game than the fast flowing effort I was hoping for.
