We haven't won there yet even though i thought the last two visits we were robbed by two poor ref decisions. We broke our winless streak again Hull at their place this season so lets do the same at Wigan.
Looking at the Wigan board they say 14 of their first squad is missing for friday.
Sean O'Loughlin Ben Flower Anthony Gelling George Williams Escare Ryan Sutton Micky Mcllorum Leuluai Gildart Club Tomkins Manfredi Batemen Shorrock
Surley the lads should be up for this game no matter what but this should be a boost.

If ever there was a chance to beat the pies at their place, this is it. I've seen us take some real hammerings there so I would love to see us take full advantage of their injury problems and put a big score on them. However even with all those players missing, to beat Wigan at home is still tough so we need to put in a big performance.
Does anyone know what players will be back available for this game? O'Brien etc

Hope TC is back for this as get the feeling it's the type of big stage he will thrive on, him Lui and Dobson could run Wigan ragged on such a big pitch with so many experienced players out/unavailable.

Wow. That's a crazy amount of players missing from the Wigan team. I know they have much more depth that the average SL team but we should still be able to get a win.

You know what's going to happen, 1 of 2 things......
1. They'll all make a miraculous recovery
2. The pies will flex their big pie muscles and go wingeing to the rfl, who will tremble and buckle and allow the game to be postponed.
I'm going for the later :-)

As much as we want to throw the best players back such as O'brien but do any after that deserve dropping? Honestly apart from Bibby who'll probably get used to seeing for most of the rest of the season but do the likes of Evalds and Murray need to be dropped? I'd honestly save O'brien, Mossop and Sau for Kr with Huaraki coming in for Flash through injury.

Carney, turning into a bit of a costly waste for me. Just hope to God Lui is the next to sign on longer term as now the dead line for other clubs to speak to players has passed I'm sure he will be popular.
Krasniqi at 13 for me, have always said it he just has the skills needed to be a high class loose forward.
If ever one player missing a game makes me less inclined to think we can win it is Kopczak, he is a talisman and we saw Sunday that when he came on the pitch the drive and go forward increased immediately.

I know Wigan have got a really poor looking team on paper, but I would have thought we'd have put out a stronger line-up (assuming we could barring any injuries) as this game could be our best opportunity in years to get a win away at the DW Stadium.
In saying that, our 19 still looks pretty decent.

Think this game is one we should throw every starting 13 player at, win and we pretty much guarantee a top 8 finish and can then turn to a top 4 position.
Putting a weakened team out and losing just plays into the hands of IB to bitch about low numbers next Friday when the required million bums on seats doesn't materialise.

It could just be a ruse by Watson? Maybe we'll see Kopczak, Mossop and a few of the others make the team when it's announced on Friday.

Who's Williams? Am I losing the plot here as can't for the life of me picture him?! Also no George Griffin.
I agree that we should play our strongest available 17 at Wigan. They've managed to get a couple of big names back from their injured list but it's still one of, if not the weakest Wigan team we'll have faced in years. A win at the DW would be massive, regardless of who they put out and I'd rather rest a few against HKR (if we are resting rather than them being injured?.

Conner Williams?
Wigan still have enough nous in the pack to cause problems, Koppy & Mossop would make it much less likely that Wigan could get a foothold in the middle of the park.
