Williams won man of the match last night for the Halifax reserves against Wire. He's played FB for us before but i can't see him playing on Friday. Liam Bent is more likely.

Carney, turning into a bit of a costly waste for me. Just hope to God Lui is the next to sign on longer term as now the dead line for other clubs to speak to players has passed I'm sure he will be popular. Krasniqi at 13 for me, have always said it he just has the skills needed to be a high class loose forward. If ever one player missing a game makes me less inclined to think we can win it is Kopczak, he is a talisman and we saw Sunday that when he came on the pitch the drive and go forward increased immediately. Krasniqi was at loose on Sunday too and didn't look out of place at all. I do worry about the strength of the interchange too, without Koppy, but TBH I think the person we'd miss just as much would be Brining. He's been phenomenal so far and I think it's him that helps the go forward at the 20 minute mark, I'd keep my eye on who comes on with him and see what their carries are like once he's on....

Great, a real chance of beating Wigan at the DW for the first time and we play a weakened side! Unless it's injuries which is unlikely then the mind boggles.
Looks like it'll be the usual wasted Friday night in pie land.

Why is it unlikely to be injuries? Watson hasn't shown himself keen to do much squad rotation apart from injuries. There were a few head and neck injuries against Toronto and Widnes
That said I'd expect one or two to prove their fitness and make it in time for Friday

If that 19 ends up being the final squad then I'd expect it to be:
Evalds Bibby Jones Welham Johnson Lui Dobson Tasi Tomkins A Walne Murdoch-Masila Lannon Krasniqi
Murray J Walne Brining Bent
This is assuming he will want 3 forwards and a hooker on the bench. I guess Wood might come in for Walne or Bent if they want to mix it up a bit with lots of pivots (Lui or Tomkins shifting to loose maybe?). it shows the difference in strength in depth between the two teams. Wigan with 14 out and us with 6 to 8 out are at a similar level of disruption. Should be two fairly even teams if this does end up our team.
There will be a lot of pressure on Tasi and A Walne. They both did big minutes on Sunday and will need to again I suspect. Big ask of BMM and Krasniqi to get the youngsters through too. I think their wingers and pack will edge ours but our half backs, hookers and centres look stronger

Watto isn't picking a weakened team by choice.
O'Brien - still recovering from being knocked out against Toronto J Carney - suspended Sa'u - groin picked up against Catalans Kopczak - picked up a knock against Widnes Griffin - was wearing a protective boot last week Hauraki - still injured Flanagan - didn't play any of the 2nd half last week because of concussion Mossop - shoulders T Carney - calf
Also worth pointing out that people say We don't produce our own players, I count 8 academy graduates in our squad.

Can we talk about US v Wigan again now please?
It'll be my first trip to the Pie Dome. What's the atmos like? Where's best to park? Do they actually do good pies?

The Atmos is similar to most home teams in most sports these days, fairly quiet until they score. I'd imagine our lot will be loud, fingers crossed we get a performance! Not sure on parking I usually jump a lift, if I remember correctly it's similar to us in that if you park on the stadium expect a queue. We've parked in side roads near the ground before now but that was a fair few years back. Can't comment on the pies but had a lovely curry after the game there once Looking forward to the game, will be interesting see how our patched up teams get on!

Ironically, the pies are supposed to be sub-par.

I will be cheering as loud as possible I'm going to try the 'Oxygen' Car park... I'll report back afterward! May risk a halftime pie....
Can't wait for the game - genuine chance to win this one! Because of our halves, if we can keep it tight for the first 20 then get our noses in front, I reckon we could stretch away second half and get Dobbo and Lui controlling the game. Hope Evalds is on the same form as last week and Bibby continues to impress!

Ironically, the pies are supposed to be sub-par. Oh no Carnster! Well are they as bad as the AJ Bell ones? (though I've seen a marked improvement from the block of coal that was given to us during some of last seasons matches)
