Three wins on the trot. Very happy. Can we make it four at Hull next week?

Well Brethren, my prediction wasn't far from reality: 'seriously I have 3 reasons Salford will win: home advan and rainy conditions our halves are better than theirs we are playin a tighter style of rugby and I'm as biased as hell'.
Fantastic defence and they find a way to win....wonderful performance. A happy man that can't possibly sleep tonight.

Injuries picked up tonight:
Johnson Tomkins Brining. All concussion precautions but should be fit for the next one Lui pulled hamstring
Sau to come back, Harauki can't be far away? Evalds? Plus 2 days more rest than our next opponent's Hurl I think that we will be able to put out a team good enough to beat them - bring it on!

This is the kind of game we always lose, and we could well have lost tonight saints weren't terrible, but we fought it out. What a great win, seriously contemplating my first trip to hull next week. Good times!!

Brilliant tonight. Whoever it was that said that Dobson is past it, please come on here and explain why. Brilliant game from him. Brilliant game from Flanagan - that tackle. And brilliant from everyone in the Red shirt. Salford fan for over 50 years. Never been so proud of the team.

I don't think I've seen a Salford side work so hard to get the right result. Every one of them worked their nuts off. Koppy, Flash, Dobson, and Todd Carney were very good but it's hard to single players out after such a solid team performance. Tasi was back to his best. Welham worked really hard. Lui was fantastic again.
Proud of the team tonight, and it's a long time since I've said that about my Club.

Great team effort. Koppy n dobo stood out for me but all were excellent! Must say BMM didn't seem as lively tonight. I though saints best player was the one in the yellow shirt. I may stand corrected when see replay of match but he made some shocking decisions in my opinion.

The difference now is that we don't lose our focus. In the past, the bad 50/50 calls used to really hurt us. Now, we seem to shrug them off and get on with the game. Massive change in attitude.

Wow. We are really turning into a force to be reckoned with - certainly at home.
A few of points from me:
1. I'm going to reverse my thoughts on James Childs. We gave him a lot of stick and actually, apart from the Lui decision which I think actually helped galvanize us further, his decisions were ok. I watched the re-run on the TV when I got back (bed at 1:30AM ouch) and TBH, a lot of the decisions that appeared mind boggling actually had a reason to be given. You did OK James - apologies for the derision.
2. How far can this team go? I'll say it now, if we keep injuries and suspensions down then top 4 - it's there for the taking. We are a true team and with that defense coupled with properly firing halves (TC HAS to play, I don't care where, just play the man!) then we can beat any team. This league is wide open.
3. Thirdly and MOST importantly - I'm a jolly come lately to this Salford supporting lark and am thoroughly enjoying it. The pride I felt clapping the players off was immense, the buzz I had watching the game back in the early hours of this morning was massive and I've only been around for a couple of years. How you guys who have supported the club through thick and thin feel now, I can't start to comprehend. Yes we're only a few games into the season and yes we haven't won anything. But you can see what Watson is building here, you can see the passion in the players faces (Kopczak try last night being a case in point) and I am loving watching the fans reaction just as much as the team. So this win's for you long suffering fans. In comparison I'm just a glory hunter.

I am sorry to disagree with you.But in my opinion Childs did everything he could to hinder Salford. But I definitely do agree that Todd Carney has to play and from the start. The kick he put down the line, that resulted in the fumble that led to the try was class from a class player yes definitely got to start but will he.

You don't have to apologise! As I saw it live too I could easily see why it seemed as though he tried his best to get Saints to win - I was joking saying to my cousin, when they were 6 points down, that he'd find a way to give them an 8 point try. When I watched it back, I looked at each decision trying to take the emotion out and actually thought that he did ok - not well, but ok. Yes I'd agree that some 50-50 decisions went against us, but is that because Childs hates us? I doubt it. He's pretty much the same with everyone. Just my opinion.
Carney looked pure class - first time I've seen him live and his passing is sublime. The speed and accuracy of it is a cut above anything I've seen. Like you said, his kicking too was brilliant. I've seen your opinions on Dobson on this forum- do you still feel the same? Would you drop Dobbo and have Carney, or would you be able to squeeze him in somewhere else?

The thing with TC is that opposition players looked scared of his ability and seem to hang off to watch what he does.
How did Child's give an offside penalty on halfway when it was a drop out? Must surely have been given under the sticks.
Thought last night the passion Koppy showed in the shirt was immense.

I would guess Mr Dixon is in a queue of 1 wanting Dobbo out. As said last week he is a consummate professional. Pure talent. Come on Mr Dixon admit you were wrong all along.
As for fitting Todd Carney in I would love to see Lui @ 13 and Dobson & Carney @ 7 & 6. Lui gets the line moving better than anybody and with 3 half backs on the pitch it would be awesome. Flanagan (cracking game again last night) to 12 and BMM @ 11.
Exciting times.
