Massive match against the Saints on Thursday night, both teams in good form after winning their last two, how do we see this one going?
After good wins against Catalans away and Warrington (not as impressive as it sounds as they're giving everyone two points at the minute) you would expect this to be a close game.
I recon we will win 32-20, Todd Carney coming off the bench and running the show and Justin Carney finally grabbing 2/3 tries.
1. O'Brien 2. J. Carney 3. Jones 4. Welham 5. Johnson 6. Lui 7. Dobson 8. Tasi 9. Tomkins 10. Mossop 11. BMM 12. Griffin 13. Flanagan
14. Brining 15. Koppy 16. Krasniqi/Weller/A.Walne 17. T. Carney

I've watched saints a few times this year without being overly impressed. I think we have to approach it sensibly complete our sets and our kicking game needs to be A1. I don't want to see this "globetrotter" rugby this week throwing the ball about too much - they are no mugs and we could come unstuck. Confident with it being at home and i see us winning by a try or two and it being 3 wins in a row. Did i just say that about Salford. Crikey!

I don't think the team needs much tweaking from the last few games. If Sau is carrying a knock then JJ should come in, and Mossop could be crucial in some form, although it's hard to see who he would replace on the last two performances. Todd looked the part against Widnes and will be chomping at the bit to get more game time. What a happy problem to have eh?

I'm now not as confident as I was on Friday night. I've read two reports of the Saints performance v Warrington; both suggest we could be in for a test with their centres, front row , and half-backs.
As for our team, I'm with Carnster: tweak but not change.

See what people are saying, but for me you still have to put your strongest 17 out. Although Widnes were a lesser opposition and not taking anything away from anyone as everyone's been playing well, I would still bring Mossop and Jones back into the 17.

The weather forecast suits us for Thursday night, i.e.raining and a moderate wind. Salford will handle the conditions better than Saints. I have a feelin I'll be suppin copius amounts of Leffe after the game - again!

I will sup one just for you if we win and you can pay me later. seriously I have 3 reasons Salford will win: home advan and rainy conditions our halves are better than theirs we are playin a tighter style of rugby and I'm as biased as hell.

Was on a Belgium beer odessy this past weekend, lost count after about 18 different local beers (weakest was 8% so I'm dead hard me LOL) For me if we are to beat Saints we need to get out of the blocks quickly as we did last season, look for Tasi to hard FU game against Saints and I get the sneaking suspicion we will see TC pulling strings that will leave us all in awe.

I really didn't think Watson wanted Todd Carney. But he as a problem now getting him into the team from the start.Because if he is fit he is the best player we have.

Wonder is there is an option of trying human centre? Obviously has the handling to release his winger and looks good defensively
