It'll certainly do for now as I was wondering if this forum was about to be an ever decreasing old boys club!
It also doesn't negate anything that was said about the RL family, the other clubs' attitudes and intentions etc.
Let's hope we can get to pastures new and have a lot less drama.

"This has been agreed on the condition of central involvement in and scrutiny of a more sustainable long-term trading position for Salford Red Devils" maybe they could add in some scrutiny to see whether any of the approaches from other clubs that are alleged by everyone's favourite Yorkshire 'journalist' to have been made to contracted players' agents breached any of the regulations on tapping up or the potential to exert undue influence while they are at it. I'll not hold my breath on that front though Love it !
Why don't you write to Yorkshire's own RL journalist and ask him ..... I'm betting on the "A journalist never reveal their source!" answer or maybe Shaggy's "It wasn't me!"

Will all those who were so scathing about how the club is run now that there's central involvement be a bit more relaxed now?

PS I can just imagine the response to this from our lovely caring RL family in places like Total

So once again we survive by the skin of our teeth. This club was last year in an unforeseen crisis when central funding was cut. This year we must have had an understanding finances were going the same way, yet promotions are given out, new hires given jobs, we sign players we clearly cannot afford. The stadium delay is not an excuse to get in too deep the future of the club is on the line. We rob Peter to pay Paul and needed RL Commercial to bail us out again.
I’m done with this CBS model it’s flawed, the club board just do what they want so no more cash from me there. I’ll just support the team as off field I’m sick of a lack of transparency. I’ve defended the board lots on here but fans deserve to know what has happened to the community funding and how the sale of three players impacted finances. All we get is a statement saying we will arrange a forum in February.

I lost 5 figures into the old liquidated club which I really could do with now being an OAP and this time there is no JAW around to pick up the tab for the club. Budgets will have to be watertight from now on and sadly Rachel Thieves attack via NIC contributions will definitely mean redundancies. The club will not get another chance. A new era starts today. |

Not wanting to go O/T here EB but whatever Labour & Reeves are doing is down to 14 years of Tories taking the piss and frittering the public finances up the wall. Those blaming everything on 4 months of Labour rule seriously need to have a rethink.
BTW I'm a contractor. The UK market has absolutely died on it's arse the last 12-18 months and that's partly down to the Tories and big business offshoring roles to the likes of India for cheap labour so they can line shareholders pockets with additional millions in dividends. This despite having claiming to "help Britain prosper" etc.🙄
Anyway back to the rugby.... big 12 months for the club. Get that bloody stadium signed off and let's see if we can make ourselves a viable entity.🤞🏼

I’m probably being ott here but I feel we can’t wait till February to have a meeting!if the club believe we’re a community club then we deserve answers now not in two months,we’re not a community club that was just a way of getting all that money out of the fans and it’s really disappointing but now we have the 500,000 the club will go quiet again because that’s what they do,probably ott of me but just really disappointed
