Always somebody else’s fault…Last season The RFL, not enough support, The Council etc
Basically our Business Plan was flawed last year and we had to raise a £1m from sales of players etc and we went into Special Measures which affected our IMG score
This year again going in Special Measures because of the ground…oh and somebody let the cat out of the bag and the supporters found out…accept it’s not the council's fault it’s the planning
If you spend much more than you generate it happens…
I wonder why people aren’t buying season tickets.

I placed this on the ‘Financial business’ threads with some of my own thoughts, questions and opinions an hour ago.

Reading your comments IDTH I think we agree…the Clubs finances are a shambles and everything is hidden from us…which is down to the Board, not th3 Council, the RFL or the Supporters
I wonder how long this charade will go on
We’ve also heard that the Council turned down a large loan to the Club for this period and are losing faith…only a rumour but understandable
If those in control don’t stop hiding things from the shareholders and keep coming out continually with the ‘it’s not my fault’ their credibility…low as it is now…will disappear

We will probably get money on Monday, will their be string's attached that's the problem.I think this because the other clubs are in no win situation But it's back the stadium situation and that seems never ending

As a shareholder I actually wonder why I bothered to invest and that is a shame, I just hope the early release of funds is granted to Salford.

WR the CBS has only been going for a short while; these problems have existed for years…last year apparently we were in special measures, as well as selling lots of our assets due to a massive financial shortfall
I agree tho the CBS does need to hold the Club Board to account…if this was in the commercial arena the Club Board would have been gone last year
Sadly I know lots now who have turned away from the Club, won’t buy season tickets, are completely fed up with the excuses and as you say ‘lack of transparency’…on the field it’s amazing but off the field we’re going quickly in one direction…down

Not only is this a depressing issue and which may just be a storm in a teacup but it's essentially as boring as hell. If it is, as stated, just a cash flow problem this is hardly earth shattering and perfectly ordinary though it can lead to the demise of any business or organisation. There is no transparency issue if you have read the related articles and listened to the interviews. I'm really fed up with being in this position and thought we were finally coming out of all this. And to be honest the threads and posts on here do make things seem even worse. For a change the SARL article is good

Just saying because the Yorkshire media actually have an interest in RL, as opposed to the MEN which is basically a succession of stories about people from reality tv or soap operas telling us about the amazing new skincare product they're flogging

I'm not fussed about this tbh.
We're a club that will always struggle in the off season, and I doubt the club can do much more than they already have. Constantly told that the stadium will be sorted by all parties on previous dates that have now passed. Any business will have invested its energy into hitting the ground running when the stadium is completed. It wouldn't make a great deal of sense for them to waste limited energy on contingencies. It seems to me that the club is being let down by the bureaucracy of the circumstances and the inability of local government to do anything on time. It's not ideal, and I see a lack of communication more as the fact that everyone is stuck in limbo until the cogs of our legal system start turning. They can't just keep saying that we're waiting and nothing to report. They're damned if they do and damned if they don't with us supporters who, let's face it, are cripplingly bipolar about anything to do with our club.
At least they're trying to do something at this stage, and while they're not perfect, I don't see doom posting at this stage as something good for those of us of a nervous disposition.

I agree, far more of this is being made of this than necessary, in the media, in the SL halls of infamy and sadly on here. It depresses me because we never seem to get to the end of this particular tunnel but:
1) Asking for some of the money that is due for the season is not asking for anything extra. 2) it is not a loan, 3) it does seem to be a matter of cash flow
I'll still question the motives of anyone making a fuss of this given the help other clubs have had with barely a flutter.

So what happens six months down the line when Salford inevitably go cap in hand asking for more money. Salford cannot keep doing this. It will get to a stage when administration is inevitable and Salford are in the championship or don’t even exist anymore.
