We got the win should have had more points tho I still believe we can score tries for fun just needs tweaking … brierley needs to step up his defending always out of position left edge needs to improve and I think we should have introduced Hankinson earlier in the game I don’t agree with shorrocks at hook All players deserve credit today they was all up for it and looked like they wanted to win … big praise for Ryan a lot of running the ball in instead of props from kick off He showed some pace as well to outrun the two cas players who are no slouches.

Much more pleased with Brierley in attack yesterday though his defence is poor compared to Hankinson. The attempt on Johnson was woeful as Ollie had got his legs. We made a few breaks yesterday where the winger should have been away. The forwards getting back into a grind was the positive for me.

The positive for me was the 2 points, anything more is a bonus at this stage of the season.

Couple of things form me having watched the game back a few times now.
1. Nene 'No try' - No idea how this was over ruled. Listening to Aaron Moore on the replays it's as if he's reading the rule book at the same time, desperately trying to find a reason not to award a try. Even sky commentators didn't think there was sufficient evidence to over turn the on field decision. It didn't matter in the end but it could have done, these are the sort of things that ultimately cost coach's their jobs. In fact the first replay he says 'this angle doesn't tell me anything' then he looks at it from a different camera angle which again doesn't show anything then he goes back to the original camera and talks himself into disallowing. 2. Tex Hoy comes in late, knees first after Chris Hankinson scores, he had plenty of time to stop / pull out, nothing given (8 point try eg) but again, could have caused injury, and Chank does well not to react. 3.Ollie P is immense. the passion he showed after scoring was great to see. he'll be missed, it must be a really good offer from Catalans because he looks so happy and settled in this group.

The Nene Try left everyone puzzled the evidence used seemed a bit suspect.
Tex Hoy was late in and Hankinson was too busy celebrating !
Yes I think that was Ollie's best game by far which says alot and sometimes financial reasons seem more important.

Glad you too noticed that Hoy ‘challenge’ and it’s not just me. Sort of still rankles with me how this was penalised last year at Warrington and gets missed since. And yeah the MacDonald try. It also seemed as if it was been judged in order to disallow it. Easy for Ollie. More money and better lifestyle. Can’t blame him.

I saw the Cain Robb challenge, but I see it differently. Hank was sauntering to put the ball down behind the post. He was carrying the ball in one hand. The Cas defender saw an opportunity to knock the ball out of his hand. For me, Hank should have got the ball down first and then celebrated. We would all have been calling him if the ball had been knocked away, or he dropped it in the challenge.

I was probably 15 yards from Hank when he put the ball down and I was screaming at him to ground it as could see the covering Cas player wasn't far off him. A split second more dallying by Hank and it could've cost us the 6 points. Get the ball down and then start celebrating!

If you watch Nene's latest Vlog, Hankinson says as much.
