The nature of of reaction to an opinion on here takes some beating! Looking at the way Cas are improving and how we seem to be on a downward spiral any negatives are perfectly understandable. Even if we only counted the enthusiasm shown by both sides, your money would have to be on Cas. It's also perfectly true to say that everyone of those feeling understandably down after a few losses would be delirious if proven wrong and will no doubt fess up. Added to this you just can't count how well you've done so far as a more significant measure than a number of losses where the performance has been so poor. That in itself is just an opinion.
Let's face it even the more critical on here are nowhere near as bad as those RL fans who expect a trophy every season and call for the sacking of everyone in sight the moment they don't.

Blimey! The chat on here is laughable at times. We are top 6 by 4 points. Yes, we’ve had a crisis of confidence and aren’t playing the rugby that we did to beat Saints (twice) and Warrington. If we get 2 more wins, we’ll be likely in the playoffs. It’s never easy being a Salford fan, but, let’s enjoy the ride. We're also playing the team 3rd bottom of the league at home and yet everyone seems to be expecting a loss. Yes, we've lost 3 on the bounce and Cas have improved a lot recently but the way some on here are talking we're playing peak Penrith Panthers!😁 We have Lewis, Lafai and Stone back this week, Nikorima we should be beating Cas at home and showing we are good enough for top 6. The apathy amongst our fans is incredible, we’re 6th with two wins over our nearest rival, another three wins likely cements top 6. I’m looking for Rowley to illustrate the last performance wasn’t acceptable and to get a reaction from his players for the fans. I fear JJRs mate Dels lot finishing strongly rather than Leeds they have a game in hand. We need to be aiming for 3rd as a minimum. Remember Rowls talks about mindset and accountability. The players need to perform this week.

It's a new stand off that's all. It's not a new spine. We've been playing without one all season so should add to us straight away. He's also had all week to learn a few set plays. Plus sneydy is the one who has all the responsibility and moves the team around. Should come in with no pressure and get stuck in as a running threat Excited to watch him tbh Don’t want to be pedantic but if we change one player as we have a number of times this season then we have a new spine ie one new player who doesn't know the moves and has not played with the other three…but I understand not ‘completely’ new Even if you just change one player it destroys the chain 😁 your on shakey ground with this and you know it, so I will let that one pass. I think he's a great addition and another running threat and in a position which has been nulled this season, so far Liked bits of bullock last week and think with lewis back as well it should be a good match.

Don’t think you know much about team playing K if you think pieces just naturally fit into place…shaky ground…its as steady as a rock…ask Southgate about not forming a team with supposedly great players or the great Alex Murphy who created a team out of bits n pieces to beat the great Leeds at Wembley
But hopefully great addition and Bullock will improve…as he slowly integrates into the team😉

I think much of this thread is a good example of something I recall Rowley saying a few months ago - the playing group focus on what they think they are capable of and not what the fans or anyone else expects based on Salford's history.
We've been a bit average of late but nothing that can't be fixed up. Not unusual for any team to have a few off weeks during the season.
Hoping the addition of Bullock and Nikorama will help liven things up again and confident we're well positioned to get that 6th place.
That said, this Cas game could very easily be a defeat and so really do need to sharpen up from this week.

The key pivots have been 1, 7 and 9 this year as we haven't had a SO which Rowley has placed any trust in moving us around. Cust and atkin have mearly been bodies that have been told to shovel the ball. He is basically coming into the team with no responsibility to pick up and no expectations yet. Similar to when Tui signed mid season, he will he allowed free rain first few matches and then we will fit some set plays around him and he may take on a bit of responsibility as and when we have to rest sneydy. Until then should ease into the team fine.

Yes 1 and 9 have changed often this year and now back to what they were planned to be, but they don’t seem to be gelling that much at times….9 broke thro last week, no 1 or 7 anywhere near, sadly…I’m sure as we’re getting our D in order he’ll have a lot of responsibility but glad you’ve got a hotline to Rowls
im sure if they all stay fit it’ll be somewhere near for the run in…that’s team games..gelling

Kendall ref, Aaron Moore video 3or am I getting old🤣 Yes!When you watch as many matches as I do: 1) most times who refs is irrelevant 2) Certain teams get no change from some refs 3) Interpretation tends to change according to which side 4) the myth that when you win "you make your own luck" is complete BS!

Squad is out today hope to see Lewis, Lafai, Stone back in and Nikorima. They all seem to be there and that's very good news. Cust still named which given Hull's attitude at present seems to be as much about exciting their fan base for net season while establishing the main elements of the squad right now is surprising!
Nikorima is interesting ........ will he start or won't he?
Tim will not be match fit after the lay off.
But it's a very good line up and selection problem.

This from 👇SRD Website We are wearing the 3rd kit to help people with vision problems. You may notice something slightly different about the way we’ve displayed this week’s squad list. As part of our Inclusivity round, we are shining a light on communication conditions – including dyslexia. Our squad list this week uses a OpenDyslexic font; a typeface designed to help with some common symptoms of dyslexia. The font was created based on research and articles specifically focused on reading accuracy and comprehension. Letters have heavy weighted bottoms to indicate direction. You are able to quickly figure out which part of the letter is down which aids in recognising the correct letter, and sometimes helps to keep your brain from rotating them around. Consistently weighted bottoms can also help reinforce the line of text. The unique shapes of each letter can help prevent confusion through flipping and swapping.
