The points made originally were far less dramatic. Not much point in a COS stadium without the oldest professional city set up playing there. Peel, Sale Jiggery-pokery at work with local government working at the usual snail's pace a recipe for nowt happening if ever there was one. As for Suella like alot of families who benefitted from England being a welcoming place, as it should be, they're okay now so let's pull up the draw bridge. Much like the Pilgrim Fathers in the US moving there for religious freedom and they found it was so good they decided not to let anyone else have any. In any case what part of the Ethiad have SRD looked into? Is it a stadium that would gain IMG approval. Then again in order to make sure people keep investing and propping clubs up the RFL fine them for breaking operational rules.
After staring in Manc 150 or so years ago maybe there's a kind of poetic feeling to going back for a last hurrah.
Russ I no you don't like union But I don't think Sale are causing us harm, the problem is we don't no what is happening or what the problem is but i am sure it's not Sale. The way I understand it Sale and Salford City were paying 14 million for the ground, then the council said no and they were buying the ground for the community so the way I see it is that peel need 7 million I think you're wrong about Sale but correct about yooonion dixon.
I think the jiggery pokery will come out eventually.
The delays are deliberate and will force the outcome by Peel/Sale the delays are political, usual and incompetent by the council and will mean the same result unless action is taken.
The idea that Sale don't mean any harm is laughable as they will do anything to promote themselves and if that means SRD's demise so be it. If someone doesn't understand that then they don't understnd Vichy!

Russ it’s not incompetence by the Council…get real …just occasionally First of all it's an opinion and I thought after all the rubbish you've had to put up with you'd be the last person to post something like that.
I've had lots of experience with councils JJR, and they're about as useless as those business people thingies you're alway touting. They do carry less clipboards though!

If it hadn't been for the council we would have been playing on peel park long ago

13,500 plus now signed the petition, expect an update of sorts from the club at tonight's 150th Celebration Dinner. The mood of the board will tell us everything even if little is said.

If it hadn't been for the council we would have been playing on peel park long ago Yes and they need gratitude for what they've done so far but that neither makes them competent nor efficient.
If you look at my first post on this issue I said the Mayor was onside on this but inactive.
It's in the nature of social media discussion that people who will only see the dark side of one issue say Marwan for example will only point to the good points in almost everyone else .
If we can't illustrate when they seem wanting what's the point of discussion?

Russ don't let's us get in a tit for tat I am not an appologist for the council If it was a general political statement you making about councils in general that's fine.I was talking about one particular instance re the AJB and my point was valid if it hadn't been for the council and you could say peel God knows where we would be playing I will reiterate again Sale are not behind this but you have a down on union that's your prerogative I watch quite a bit at the lower level, yes it's not as good as league but so what I also know people who watch Salford and Sale and enjoy them both The AJB should have been built and sold as a community stadium in the first place just like Leigh.

No one said you were an apologist for anything.
The myths over and inflated ideas of competence and efficiency that are rife in private business came to rest in local government circles since about 1980 so the same sorts of people are given positions make a mess and move on before it hits the fan. The slowness of largely incorrect decision making and action taking beggars belief.
As the wife says when Vichy's on't telly "What time does the Rugby begin?" and that's when she's being polite!
The people behind this are varied and telling if you don't want to apportion blame that's fine, I do.
If you believe kick & clap doesn't want us out of the way that's okay too.
Yes the JJB or CoSS should always have been ours but who was it that pushed it Peel's/ Sale's/ Union's way for this situation to happen?
And if you want to spend those hours you'll never get back watching lower level ru well .... well done!
And yes the JJB or COS should always have been ours but it was as much those very people council and Peel pushing it in a way that favoured Sale but

At Full Council meetings the public is allowed to hand in petitions and ask questions. Maybe could hand in the prtition going around?

Great night last night fans very supportive of the club and the board. Possible deal on the stadium lease in the new year but this is a moving target.
