Bit of game playing I think, the situation is bad but I just can’t for the life of me believe it’s possible that we could liquidate. This situation has been known for a while now and yet we’ve just had how many players commit to us for next season.

My thoughts too, just said this on the other post - but this is put more eloquently by yourself 😊

Imagine being a player who’s just signed for us or was going to you’d be speaking to your agent because to the public the clubs in a massive mess with seemingly not many options

Well for me that is a very bold if not slightly stupid attempt to force pressure on the council. The problem is that for every councillor that would like the idea of saving the club, there are more that couldn’t care less or see the stadium as a white elephant. I for one think that the purchase will struggle to go through when you have councillors campaigning for funds for families in poverty.
I don’t think we are quite at panic stations, but does anybody want to buy an owners certificate and pin badge?
Joking aside here’s hoping for a miracle.

FWIW, just been sent a what's app message involving a current Councillor stating the council are absolutely 100% commmited to the club and are currently buying out Peel's half of the stadium.

Yes I believe the deal is still alive it’s just dragging through red tape and hoops to jump through and then the club are getting stressed because without the arrangement from dec 1st the league and img are going to want answers!the club won’t be signing anyone else yet as they don’t know what money they have till deal is signed off so this is the squad for now!I think in fairness the slagging off of the council is tough I know we’re Salford fans but if they do buy they will have been in to the deal over the 12 years for 30 million including the years where we paid no rent that’s a lot of money when councils are having to make cuts to services across the board, some may disagree but without they’re help we would have been finished by now!

Thinking about it, problem seems to be IMG grading as we need 5 year lease minimum. But ING starts 2025, so as long as sorted before end of 2024 season ( not 1/12) we will be OK. To optomistic??? Hear lots aof comments "unfavourable lease", anyone know how our lease compares with Sale, I know Sale longer, but terms of? Probably confidential but what are we aiming at, I don't expect stadco to give us free stadium, but at least parity.

As this all steamed from the Garido's intervention.

The Council are at fault here, they have given their best intentions to the club without any action. The board have done the level best to get a lease agreed and nothing, the clubs even changed its ownership model. If Salford go who is going to become a tenant the ground will cease to exist on just Sale RU incomes.
