Is that good or bad for them? I don't know what they normally get.

Think the average about 7k but Simon Orange just made a fortune I think by selling a company
We’ve just raised around £1M in player sales and share sales…where’s it gone and why are we borrowing £175k off the Council…w

Their average crowd was 6600 last season, helped by a sell-out for their semi-final against Leicester. Unless you're a Torygraph reader in which case that average crowd miraculously jumps by 2000...🤥 🐂+💩 www.telegraph.co.uk/rugby-union/2023/05/10/sale-sharks-grassroots-schools-stadium-sid-sutton/Even called out as BS by a couple of Sale fans. Phil Stannard 10 MAY 2023 Also, not sure where the 8,500 average attendance figure comes from. Only twice this season have we had crowds over 9,000, and a number of games in the early part had crowds of less than 5k. Reply by Paul Barnes. PB Paul Barnes 11 MAY 2023 And the 3,800 start point is a nonsense as well.

Well that is no more than we knew from a mere sentence from PK on the Beeb perhaps.
PK wants SCC to do the "easy" way and not backtrack.
He mentions a 12 month extension on existing terms (and they are?)
Then a badly edited mumble about a 5 year contract, being at Gigg Lane and losing central funding and dropping out of SL. Then dying.
The only news aside from who ever edited that interview hasn't a clue, is that BBC NW will be airing a statement from the council.
Oh 4400 for Sale is low end for them. Especially as first game and during school holidays.

So I gave PK's interview on BBC Radio Manchester via BBC Sounds a go.
Much longer, despite PK sounding like he was in a steel toilet and the Beeb losing his connection.
PK says "out of darkness comes light," kids.
The rest is basically PK's passive aggressive annoyance with the delays. He says the tenancy runs out 1 December (Happy Holidays!!!!)
If there is no renewal, RL protocols are broke, a whole One point is knocked off the IMG scoring, that for him will see SRD outside the top 12 and SL in 2025.
It also means various Heads of terms will be broken as well as a "commercial partner" which is sustainable. Then a subsequent loss of central funding and down to erm £50K.
Says he has spoken with MCC over the athletic stadium, as well as Bury FC and Stockport County.
When the (child sounding) presenter said SCC would make a statement nextweek, PK laughed.
I am looking forward to another Solskjaer last gasp moment on 1 December.
The saga continues............

Can you be clearer on where you think the revenue has gone if you don’t think it’s simply gone on costs.

Sorry should be a ? at the end… (hope that stops it hanging in the air…it is a question)
I’ve no idea why the income was needed and why we needed so much…do you? If so why was any a business Plan so far out that we needed all this additional cash?
Fraud never thought if it…are you suggesting it?

I wonder though what has changed in the past couple of weeks. when the IMG rankings were announced the club stated they were confident the stadium deal would be done soon.

Whoever is dragging this out at the council the mayor or anyone we should campaign to make sure that they don’t get any higher than they are and if it is the mayor we should make sure he won’t be mayor much longer

Sale give away 1k+ tickets to every home game which helps massage the average attendances up..their paid ticket average is around ours. Where they do gain is their hospitality is often sold out at £180 per ticket and that equates to c£90k per match profit.

That's cos they've got loads of posh fans like you Pete!😉
Makes you wonder how they've managed to rack up £32m of debt when they've got multiple millionaire owners, they charge more for tickets and they rake.in more through sponsorship & corporate.

What a boreathon it was too 😴. I heard more scouse and posh Cheshire folk in the crowd than locals which is not ideal for a sustainable model so they need owners with deep pockets to sustain the club.

Some of our fans on social media are morons blaming the board again. The facts are as follows:
11,500 people sign a petition many on here lobby our MPs Rebecca Long-Bailey and Barbara Keeley. Salford Council decides Sales/FC's plus Gerrards alleged bids are ****, so no stadium sale. Last Christmas the council announce they are buying the ground. 12 months later council incompetence lands us in a tight spot.
I've just messaged Barbara Keeley this is public sector procrastination at its worst, I'd urge other to flag this to their MPs too.
What makes this more of a joke is that our Mayor Paul Dennett and Andy Burnham have publicly backed the club.

Just mailed my MP Barbara Keeley. If anyone else wants to do it, we need to support the Clubs narrative to get a lease done. Hi Barbara, I'd like to ask for support from our local MP to ensure that Salford City Council work to ensure the long term future of Salford Red Devils is secure at the Salford Community Stadium. For the past couple of years the Club, Supporters Trust and thousands of Salford citizens campaigned for the club to remain in Salford. This seemed highly likely to happen but now Salford City Council has been highlighted by the club as being extremely slow to engage and get a stadium lease completed. This is frustrating given the prior 12 months: - 11,560 plus people sign a petition for Salford Red Devils to remain at the stadium and lobby our local MPs Rebecca Long-Bailey and Barbara Keeley for support. - Salford Council decides Sales/FC's plus Seb Gerrards alleged bids for the stadium are not sufficient to proceed with so no stadium sale. These bids are not inline with the councils future aspirations for the facility. - Last Christmas the council announce they wish to buy the ground. - 12 months later our councils lack of progression means Salford Red Devils are at risk, financially with no stadium lease, not able to get match funding from community investment in 2023 and have their place in Super League at risk due to IMG requirements to have a minimum 5 year stadium lease. Ultimately Salford City Council did not sell the ground in 2022, a lease for Salford Red Devils needs to be done ASAP to ensure the Clubs future protecting our 150 years of heritage in Salford. In addition with the club growing attendances to over 5,200 per home game in 2023 the council need a tenant that will bring in custom whilst continuing the amazing work the club does with the Salford Red Devils Foundation. As our local MP please support our city's Salford Red Devils, we need urgency now from Salford City Council on the stadium lease. MTR this is a major economic and political move for th3 City Council in v uncertain times; one which I, as a ratepayer, admire. We have no idea what’s said in negotiation, what obstacles are in place, how Peel are playing it (v aggressive company) , what the politics are, and what the expectations of both sides are.
People won’t like this but it is the responsibility of the Club to ensure its future and not the City Council. I wasn’t happy with parts of the statement issued by the Club and in fact some of the naivety…for example why wasn’t it expected that costs would rise this year..the electricity costs alone must have gone thro the roof for the management company
We can’t go on blaming others for our problems: fans, the RL, the City Council and others for our issues; it’s our responsibility to maintain our future. Yes these are issues but we must plan for these frailities. Around £1M and increased revenue from fans this year has been achieved and we borrow £175 off the Council and expect it interest free. We raised over £300k from the share issue but fell short of the planned £1M
We never know the full situation as we only ever get drip fed bits of information when money is needed. I have become a shareholder bought my season ticket, encouraged a number to renew theirs, continually bring new people to the ground and expect the situation to be sorted but it our problem to solve.
I await the tirade and abuse about this😉 once again.
