Some posts are full of conjecture and rumour and therefore hold no weight but these careless statements are damaging the club and its reputation. I have worked with the club board and continue to do so and I know that these ‘facts’ are based on nothing but the rumour mill turning over. Wait until the club makes a statement then deal and comment on that rather running up blind alleys Surly the whole idea of a forum is to discuss rumours and so on? I agree but making out the club has been purposely run badly, as it suits the poster’s narrative, to the point it has to shut down is not the usual rumour sharing that you get with player movements. The next few days will be pivotal so let’s leave the toxicity off here about our future until the club/ council make a joint statement |

A small minority of posters on here detest the existing board, make out that they are inadequate and are responsible for the stadium challenges and councils lack of action. You are right, the next few days just need to play out without any toxicity and false narratives. All being well the update from Salford Council will be a positive one. |

Seems a strange statement..I don’t think anybody would intimate the th3 Club was “purposely run badly”; but issues do arise
As has been said by a few..this is part of a process with other players than th3 Council, inc Peel..and I think most consider that there will be a positive outcome.

John, you have suggested as such for such a long time it’s getting tedious now. I see first hand what the board are doing to keep our club afloat and they do not deserve the crap that you and others on social media throw at them incessantly. I have no doubt there have been wrong turns along the way but the steering of the club through the choppiest of waters takes courage, determination and a great deal of skill that warrants the greatest of plaudits. I just wonder whether you’d take some personal pleasure in seeing the club fail just so you can say “I told you so”. |

You’d like to think so wouldn’t you but reading some of the diatribe on here you’d think all they wanted was the demise of our club. It’s not only on here but it’s is symptomatic of any social media particularly when the news is not what we hope it is. Players will come go as they always have done but every decision is done with the best interests of the club at heart and i for one have confidence that the board will make the best decisions |

Well put once again Pete, the board and the other people working behind the scenes do not deserve what has been thrown at them by certain individuals.
I am reminded of the later days of the days at the Willows when some people who continually patted the chairman and the then board of directors on the back on occasions soon turned to similar stunts that are being used now against the current board.

JJR (John) I think Salford 1963 means some of your comments come across negative towards the board and Paul King in particular. There is always a speculative point in your posts on their unclear business plan, lack of inclusivity or general running of the club. Now if we look at Blease or Rowley then you hero worship the pair of them, there seems to be a North Pole and South Pole here in terms of your views here. You are entitled to your opinion JJR and if you don't rate the board that is fine, but as Dixon 13 says for the next few days we all need to focus on the club and the council doing the right thing by our club. |

If you ever care to read anything fully you will see that I try to be constructive in my criticism; mature people generally welcome criticism because it makes them examine and think.
Anyway as I said this forum is meant to be impersonal and you seem to be straining at the leash to unhinge that, as Dixon identifies…so carry on, but I’m leaving it there

It is not my petition to resubmit its the clubs however the more people that sign it the more impact it has on the council. If they back track on their intentions now Salford CC will look stupid. Views on the board aside we all want the same outcome for the club. |
