Contracts and negotiations don’t happen overnight Dixon, especially when Peel are involved in the negotiations

Seems some more new fans have signed this who did not first time around, the more that sign this petition the better. It makes a point to Salford Council even if it was designed to keep us at our stadium before the Sale/FC and Gerrard bids were refused. Lets get sharing again .............. Getting more people behind the cause nearly 12,000 now it shows we've new fans getting involved. Lets hope the council do the right thing this coming week.

Massive couple of days in terms of Salford Councils position.

I received another WhatsApp message last night and I'm far far more optimistic now than I was last week, one thing I was told is that the club really do need to start getting its act together finance wise and start to pay there way much more than they are doing at the moment. Seems like we have been living way beyond our means for a long Time.

Seems like we have been living way beyond our means for a long Time. Surely it's a catch 22 situation though? When most available revenue streams aren't open to you i.e., match day sales, hospitality, etc... how do you generate the required finances to pay your way? Sponsorship and central funding can only take you so far. It's okay to say increase crowds and that's happening slowly but to do that, it needs the team on the pitch to be competitive so money has to be spent there over putting towards backroom. That though has the impact of only a finite on what the back end can achieve to continue to increase attendance. Having those additional income streams available would in turn allow the club to continue to grow and in turn allow them to pay their way. This was always an inevitable situation with us not owning the stadium to begin with and not having a wealthy backer to just write off the debts.

Possibly a lack of thorough and analytical Business Planning could to be at at the basis of all this..the Club can’t keep,’hoping’ things will happen…costs will go up next year, the RFL won’t give us as much as we hope for, at the moment lots of people are put off buying season tickets…plan for the worst and then hope for the best
I think we have only two players at the right level an£ age to trade; Partington and MacDonald, we have asked fans for Squad Builder @nd Shares purchase recently, the team could struggle next year and so gates will fall, …we could be in for a tough year but plan for it and then build from there
Squad of 23/4 (inc a few OTT) is far too small but that might be where we have to start…and bring in a few loanees from Warrington, Wigan etc And work on getting young players into th3 ATeam and ready for later on.
Just hope Rowley and his coaching team can b3 kept on board but it’s a matter of being open and honest with him the squad and the supporters and all working together

Some posts are full of conjecture and rumour and therefore hold no weight but these careless statements are damaging the club and its reputation. I have worked with the club board and continue to do so and I know that these ‘facts’ are based on nothing but the rumour mill turning over. Wait until the club makes a statement then deal and comment on that rather running up blind alleys

Pete is spot on, the amount of crap you read on here, Facebook, Twitter etc is scandalous. Fans are not renewing season tickets because of tittle tattle and sh1te they've read online. Unfortunately, social media is a powerful tool and with some people it appears to completely destroy their ability to think rationally.
If you want to see how finances can be mismanaged and "lack of planning" then look no further than a global sporting icon who play 5 miles down the road. Hundreds of millions pissed up the wall over the past few years with no obvious plan as to what they're trying to achieve.

I thought the Club had delivered a Business Plan and made a statement
I agree lots of people seem to live by Facebook, Twitter and instagram which to me seem pointless but every Zclub and I think IMG are pushing it…why?
