Russ I'll make this easy to understand, this is a positive thread on our club............. First of all why quote the above and then post to me?
And the thread is about the club statement and the statement was not a positive and the effects it produced among fans could hardly be called optimistic.
To highlight the thread then what followed it about Leigh, that’s why Salford Slim etc posted back to JJR.

Here is one for you, our Club if we get the stadium deal done can be more than Leigh ever will be. Here is why, we modestly make money then become self-sufficient - we are the best run club in SL, within ten years the land around the ground changes forever, for example a thermal spa resort (250 Million investment). The potential is massive, Salford Council know this. The development will change Salford's and Trafford's landscapes forever, on-field needs to happen too but the Salford Community Stadiums landscape will evolve, that is exciting our locality will see big investment which means growth opportunities for our club. Leigh have done great but they rely on one man who has once threatened to walk and had his disputes. What they do not have is our potential for growth and the biggest catchment area in SL. So let Sky roll out their entertainment officer in leopard print every few months, I'll expect that we continue to grow our attendances in coming season and become solvent and successful. Very optimistic and it would be nice if your vision comes true. I’m interested to see how our attendances go this year as I can’t see us being that competitive, hopefully we still play a good brand that people want to watch Let’s hope so.

Yes, the stadium deal is pivotal to unlocking the potential the club have discussed in terms of revenues in and the elusive match funding pot from the community share scheme. I do agree that the area around Trafford and Salford will change forever and both Salford and Sale Sharks will look to tap into this and the additional investment coming into the area. I get why Salford Council want to invest.

The things people draw out of a post he's entitled to make and the ignoring of when he says positive things about the board beggars belief.
He has an idea about the efficacy of business plans, which I don't share, and he'd like to see SRD moving in that direction. This is not terrible.
In case you' haven't noticed, this post is a lead Zeppelin!

For me there is only one thing to watch and that's when you get the urge to be abusive or insulting. There is no opinion that doesn't have a perfect right to be here.
The people running SRD are great but if it looks like the board have gone wrong, it's okay to say so.

I respect others opinions but I will call out them out when I know that opinion is missing the mark. Our club is very well run, probably one of the best run clubs given our financial situation and the new board members are bringing so much experience and guidance to the club. We are in safe hands and once we get over the lease/sale issues we will flourish.

No. There will be comms issues, merchandise issues, commercial issues and issues on the football side. But look at the capacity the back office has compared the the other clubs and look what they’re achieving. Best on field performance in last 5 years than for a long time. Most sustained attendance increases since moving to the stadium. Improving commercial activity. Fans need to remember the proactive work done on the bigger things and the constant firefighting (stadium etc) and weigh that up against anything else.

I concur with a lot of what you say But I am afraid it still boils down to what's happening on the pitch.I am afraid you can't tell speckies the back office is second to none when a team is near the bottom of the league that goes for any professional sports club I am afraid that's the way the mop flops

It reminds me of the media and Tory government telling everyone they made a success of covid.

Two finals, one semi final
