Chief Many thanks for your input, you are obviously more in the know than myself but if you lose such an amount in the 2022 season surely you would not give your star player an 8 year contract and go to the top of the salary cap for the rest of the playing staff, now this could only be put together so that if it didn't work out we would as we now know we sell off our only assets. This means if true we were sold a dream that could not be achieved due to us having to rely on the worse of outside sources, politicians and accountants. Yes good on the people that are trying to navigate our great club through these challenges and good luck but let us all in on the journey because you never know someone might be able to help. There is only so much the Club can saw in the Public Domain, circumstances have not been ideal over the past months, the Councils delay on the stadium and the RL Commercial deciding that they were going to cut funding by 300k, which they'd sat on for months. Add to the endless stream of negative press that SARL and Matt Shaw from Leeds Live seem to write in particular it creates frustration amongst our fans. The truth is we will be in a stronger position when the stadium deal is completed and the season begins and we have income. [ If the stadium deal goes through there’s no guarantee that will happen, let’s hope the council back us

A fantastic scheme has launched today.
Salford Red Devils Rugby League Club's hashtag#CSR Ticketing Scheme, which has launched today:
🏉A testament to our dedication to the well-being of our communities.
🏉Allowing businesses to play an active role in supporting young and disadvantaged individuals, providing an opportunity to attend elite rugby league games at the Salford Stadium.
🏉Building on foundations laid by our successful Building the Future, Be A Red, and Tickets for Looked After Children campaigns of previous years, the scheme extends the positive work of the club to local businesses seeking to make a hashtag#positiveimpact in communities whilst meeting CSR targets.
Join Salford Red Devils in uniting communities through hashtag#RugbyLeague
Get involved and become champions of positive change in Greater Manchester!
This is a great idea and plays nicely with us being a Community Owned Club and giving back.

Apparently the Saudis are buying into Rugby Union with 4 clubs targetted (not Sale).
Surely we have a golden opportunity here. Is there a Saudi National Daily Newspaper? If so the club should put an advertisement suggesting our club is available (Including ground which is what the Saudis want).
Hope we have a bright spark on the Board or people on here close to the club.
Rugby is Rugby to the Saudis - they don`t know there is a difference between League and Union.
Get Cracking Salford.

And the land around the stadium ripe for development.
The issue regarding investment though, is that RU has a thriving international game, and that's where they'll see opportunities for a future return on investment.
I'd love to see the Saudis take an interest in RL as a whole. If SL was purchased and all clubs had enough money via central funding to spend the salary cap, and we removed the rules that benetspme clubs more than others, we'd eventually see talent disperse and the game would be far more interesting to watch. I can't see it happening though. Sky could do it, they could easily double what the pay (small change for them) and each club would be able to spend the cap, but they won't, even though, long-term, it would surely benefit them.

Hope we have a bright spark on the Board or people on here close to the club. Rugby is Rugby to the Saudis - they don`t know there is a difference between League and Union. Get Cracking Salford. The Saudis are neither ignorant nor stupid EB, they'll know what union is and that it's not the only form of rugby that's played.
The difference is entirely about which sort of people move in circles that involve Saudi or other mid-Eastern governments, moneyed individuals and organisations.
It's not the RFL though it may possibly be IMG.
It is IMG's job to change the image and market value of RL, Their efforts so far TV apart smell of the RFL jiggery pokery and very little else.
When this partnership was announced I had high hopes that RL/SL would see it's media footprint begin to progress and widen especially in the UK where the game long ago hit a ceiling they had no control over. Sadly, they've turned out to be the same old same old RFL routine; a reconstruction that a few years from now will be dead in the water, with the same pundits saying then what a waste of time it all proved to be.
By then of course the damage will have been done and it will be beyond repair and RL will have contracted once again to an even smaller geographical footprint.
But there'll be a few very happy clubs left.

No offence but I'd rather not have the Saudis anywhere near my club. Whether that's Salford RL, MUFC, Salford City (yes I'm a 2-team Wayne Kerr☺️).
Don't think I need to elaborate on this one.

Personally I would sooner not have any monies from pseudo medieval theological authoritarian entities thank you.
I ask a question.
So come the summer and SRD seal a deal with new season ticket holding Salford Mayor Paul Dennant over the stadium.
How financially does it benefit SRD?
We know that the club will receive a percentage of food and drink sold on match days.
But what else?
Hospitality? Match day advertising? Non match day events? Naming right?
Any idea what and how much?
