Personally I would sooner not have any monies from pseudo medieval theological authoritarian entities thank you. I ask a question. So come the summer and SRD seal a deal with new season ticket holding Salford Mayor Paul Dennant over the stadium. How financially does it benefit SRD? We know that the club will receive a percentage of food and drink sold on match days. But what else? Hospitality? Match day advertising? Non match day events? Naming right? Any idea what and how much? Very good question. No idea regarding the list. I think the main thing the club needs is a long term tenancy agreement at an affordable rent. Anything else is surely a bonus.

Any idea what and how much? Once the stadium is completed then the club can apply for the match funding from the share scheme and the standard mark funding from the co-op. That’s £2m that should flow into the club’s coffers for investing in infrastructure (not players) which will put the club on a much sounder financial footing both on an off the field. know how I would invest those funds but that’s ultimately a decision for the Board to make. You could also look at match car park revenue alongside the other revenue streams mentioned. The naming rights contract lapsed over 12 months ago so I don’t know who ultimately owns the rights now as I assumed Sale Sharks still had them. Maybe that clarity will come with the conclusion of the stadium ownership debate. www.uk.coop/start-new-co-op/support/community-shares/standards/standard-mark-societies#:~:text=The%20Community%20Shares%20Standard%20Mark,by%20the%20Financial%20Conduct%20Authority.

Cheers 63, that will be substantial reading whilst the car is being serviced today.

I emailed the club at the beginning of January with regards the large number of Saturday home games this season. As someone involved with a Football Club on a Saturday this means that I face potentially a clash of matches on seven /eight dates in the coming season. I know of half a dozen people similarly involved in either Football or Rugby on Saturday's who now face the same choice. That may sound only minor but that is just in my circles, there are maybe more.Yes, duties to our Sports clubs could be delegated or abandoned but they fall on others who have their own. A one off or so is fine but seven /eight is asking a lot. Salford have always largely played on Friday or a Sunday, which many would have believed still to be the case when booking Season Tickets. I have supported the club for 50 years, a season ticket holder for 30 of them. I don't want to give up my ticket, I have a great seat in the West Stand surrounded by familiar faces. I asked the club if they had considered this issue and why they had opted for Saturdays. I am not expecting them to change it specifically for me but thought that many long standing regulars may be effected by this too. To my dissapointment I have not had a reply or even an acknowledgment to my email or a follow up to see if it has been received. Perhaps my 50 years of support have been misplaced or the club and sport are now only interested in attracting new fans.

Perhaps my 50 years of support have been misplaced or the club and sport are now only interested in attracting new fans. When you look at your marketing to widen your appeal I'm afraid this is one of the most obvious and damaging implications.

But, does Saturday appeal though? Does it woden your potential market? I don't think it does. I think that's more a TV thing. Amateur rugby and non-league football tend to be played on a Saturday, therefore you are eliminating these sports fans. I have family who's kids play sport on Saturday mornings too, or have other activities that tend to be on a Saturday, like dancing events. I think Sunday is traditionally a day where these people are lost likely free to attend. Though, you do then have potential clashes with United and City home fixtures... but, these are known before RL schedules are drawn up, so surely we could make some requests to avoid most, or at least some, of those clashes.

I have had a response from the club today on the Saturday issue and it seems others have contacted them too and they are "actively working on changing some" dates, where practicable, given Sale's fixtures and tv demands.

I didn’t think it would get this coverage but I’m pleased that it has. I wasn’t the only volunteer to do this as Nick and his daughter Orlaith had done the same a couple of week earlier. Four fans renewed on the night and another 7 or 8 promised to renew next week so hopefully it was worthwhile😂

Great that the Twitter site picked this up, its not surprising that Rugby Hacks do not pick this up. Matt Shaw and Sarl are only happy when they are mud slinging at our club. Well done this is positive.

Well was bringing friends for a meal to the match but at £110pp for a two course meal, inc seat, without coffee I don’t think so sadly. So Sunday lunch somewhere. Sadly not renewed car park either, virtually trebled in 3/4 years, now £140, and after the match you wait in the car for half an hour because the car park isn't organised for safe vehicular exit.

I'd imagine the £110 is the deal breaker. Plus, parking is a joke. Though, these are not under club control.
The ticket price is. I believe it's £52 for 1873, which, to me, seems excessive. But that means the caterers have price a two-course meal at £58. Pretty extreme if you ask me.
As for parking, that will come under council control eventually. They may leave it in the hands of us and Sale or continue with an outhside partner. Hopefully, it's the former.

Went for a meal a couple of times last season and having paid for an overpriced meal I asked for a coffee, they said you’ll have to go to the Main 1873 lounge and get one there…after queuing…didn’t bother but queued at HT😩
To me…Sunday…we don’t need top level food we need a reasonably priced good quality Sunday lunch buffet…perfect…. like Heathcotes food but it’s a rugby match and ‘fine dining ‘ not needed… Might be ok for RU Hospitality where companies are paying. A reasonably priced Seasons 1873 Food/Match Package and we’d probably have bought in
Mind you hospitality at the World Cup Final Old Trafford, £225….it ended up Pie n a Pint ( couldn’t purchase chips as they only came with a costly burger) then small dirty seats in the Stretford End…wonder why people don’t return?
