I think Pete, you said you’re going on sub committee/s this year.
Can I ask if the 2023-2028 Business Plan, which appeared to fall well short of expectations, has been updated for 2024-2028 in order to get a unified approach?

I missed the meeting the other night but PK knows I want to help so at some point I’ll join the business group. As for the business plan I’ll need to speak to others to see where we at with it as the goalposts have moved since it was first published.

Any news or thoughts with regards to hospitality?
It’s been much discussed that the firm who provide this service (annual profit £20m according to Companies House) reneged on SRD’s contracted share this year. Estimated to be £116k.
Is this money as well as next seasons arriving into the clubs coffers?

The thing about the article is that it's not properly researched.Yes of course we are all generally fed up and disappointed. However let's place it in context. The RL shortfall delivered at 2 weeks notice, the delay in the stadium decision delaying other funding, etc. Maybe just maybe our signing announcements are being delayed because contracts are having to be renegotiated, because of the RL shortfall. It's all a surface expose designed to paint the club in a poor light and create antagonism.

If we are sticking with VX3 for the kit suppliers...any chance we can get our 2024 kit out earlier than normal. Maybe for the Christmas gift people. I see some clubs have managed to get there's out already and we always seem a bit late. They seem to get the T shirts and Magic Weekend shirts out pretty quick so why not the playing kit

Yet another kicking from the press www.seriousaboutrl.com/the-questionable-state-of-salford-red-devils-ownership-84109/Aside from the thin veneer of nastiness that surrounds supposed click baitery, I sometimes wonder if certain "hacks" are so toxically blinded by their own politics and eagerness to be client journalists to their paymasters, that they see a modest attempt at fan involvement as dangerous, a threat to the rigged order of things and thus needs to be undermined. Who knows.

Who knows. Scum bag press article just focuses on the negative of selling two players, not that we've paid off the debt Marwan left, that fact we make fewer losses then any other Super League club or we have the most impressive attendance growth in Super League over the past few years. Funny the timing of the article is on IMG Grading day. Gutter trash **** Serious About RL.

Can someone explain to me what direction the club is going We raised over,£360,000 and was told this enables the club 2 people to bring in more money, the rest would go to sustain the club and enable them to attract more finance through a government fund. They also said the club and council will be working toward a better deal for the club. Neither happened so there must be a chunk of money that wasn't used. We then sell our up and coming prop for a fair amount, then we sell 2 of our best players to a rival for £300,000. We still get a amount from sky even though it's been reduced, our man in charge said this as caused a financial stranglehold on the club, my problem with this statement is it had been rumoured for months before that this new contract would be reduced so why were they not able to react to this. People connected to the club have bemoaned about the reduction in the take up of season tickets, but the club altered the criteria for concessions. Now the next idea is opening the other stand for the same price as the south stand, great idea, then in the same breath say they will be joining the people that will be in that stand on freebies. Now we sack our star winger, we don't know what for but obviously it wasn't that bad as within 2 hours he had signed for a rival, they mustn't be bothered. Either the people that run this club are naive or just dumb or they think us supporters are knitting with one needle and we will follow our leaders without questioning there abilities to lead.

Starting on the money side. In the 2022 season, the club lost £580,000. No accounts will be available for the 2023 season for a while yet but assuming it was similar, that’s around a million. The money raised by the shares was being used for matched funding scheme to raise around a million, making that all square for the two seasons. To qualify, the club needs secure tenure at the stadium which is dependant on the council taking full ownership, which has not yet happened. Thus the sale of players. The ability to reduce the rent paid and generate income streams from match days also depends on the council having full ownership. The club needs money so put up season ticket prises, some of them by a lot which has possibly backfired. I’m glad I’m not the one trying to steer the club through this. The board have both my sympathies and gratitude.

Chief Many thanks for your input, you are obviously more in the know than myself but if you lose such an amount in the 2022 season surely you would not give your star player an 8 year contract and go to the top of the salary cap for the rest of the playing staff, now this could only be put together so that if it didn't work out we would as we now know we sell off our only assets. This means if true we were sold a dream that could not be achieved due to us having to rely on the worse of outside sources, politicians and accountants. Yes good on the people that are trying to navigate our great club through these challenges and good luck but let us all in on the journey because you never know someone might be able to help.

There is only so much the Club can saw in the Public Domain, circumstances have not been ideal over the past months, the Councils delay on the stadium and the RL Commercial deciding that they were going to cut funding by 300k, which they'd sat on for months. Add to the endless stream of negative press that SARL and Matt Shaw from Leeds Live seem to write in particular it creates frustration amongst our fans. The truth is we will be in a stronger position when the stadium deal is completed and the season begins and we have income.
