The trouble was caused by a group of Manchester Utd fans who are either latching on to the Salford club or out for trouble at an away game. They were in a local pub before the game singing anti Man City songs and were trying to intimidate home fans in the section next to them throughout the game. A number of Rovers fans with children had to move away. No doubt the same morons who after the match moved into the East stand to cause trouble while the end of season tributes were being made to our departing players. I usually find Salford fans generally an ok bunch but that reputation has been soured a little by the actions of these idiots, a few of whom were arrested. |

There have been a few photos posted on social media of the Moron who let the flare off, It's quite a clear photo, so have a hunt online for it.

It's lazy to blame "Utd fans" for this. Everyone knows there is a large crossover of RL/football fans in our fanbase so let's not pass the buck here.
On the coach back on Saturday one name was mentioned (and I believe he's the guy on video as goading KR fans in the round). I don't know the guy personally but apparently he's pretty well known in amateur RL circles in Salford as an ex-player and has been a Salford "fan" for many a year.
But yeah let's blame Utd fans. Bit like all the muppets on Social Media coming out with the "Utd lost so they were all out looking for a fight" bollocks.

For your information they weren't prawns they were crayfish, so I hope that clears that one up too!
