Wonder if the bounce of the ball and the ‘view’ of the ref will go our way in the 2nd half?
Amazing there’s only been one offside…and against us..KR seem yards off at times

correct KJR. KR have been offside loads when defendibg their line. It's something refs never seem to clamp down on. Nobody has two feet on the line, a lot don't even have one! I'm also not sure Addy to Olli was forward.
Not sure what to make of that. I thought Ormonroyd and Hellewell played well in their stint. King just never seems to learn. He runs well but he's a liability for penalties and dumb errors and now we have to play another 8 mins with a man down in the second-half.
We've struggled with ball in hand to make metres and breaks and they are defending us easily. We've had a bit of joy from short kicks which could be the way to make a break through. They are making metres easily but we've only conceded 6 points due to good scramble defence but we need to tidy that up to conserve energy.
Considering the bug in camp this week the lads have showed up well and hopefully have enough energy for 80 minutes. I think Atkin could be the key to breaking them down and winning - extra pivot, added pace, and fresh legs.

Edge defence needs to tidy up too as they seem to make entry of metres down the centre channel. I think Lafai was at fault for their try. He moved up too far and aggressively, past the player with the ball which allowed him to run into the gap. If he stays a metre back there is no chance he gets through there.

No complaints tonight we’ve no forwards the lads have done well to compete. No Dixon or Greenwood stupid v KR with 3 forwards on the bench. Plenty of effort.

Yea, can't fault the effort. Really it should be 20-0 if they don't knock-on twice. I don't think we'll score two tries as our energy seems to be a bit sapped but I wouldn't rule t out either. We've struggled for territory in the second half though and the kicking game hasn't been as effective as in the first half. We need a clean last 13 minutes and it's possible.

Can’t complain, they looked goosed but never stopped trying…but I just don’t understand the offside rule at the ptb…not a pen against. kR for offside so they crept closer an£ closer
Covid in the camp all week and a few of them seemed to be on their last legs

So Early Bath your giving it to me last week over team selection (We rode our luck - 18 errors Wire), this is what happens when you think you can just run round teams AKA Rowls. Aitken and Bourouh on the bench was laughable. Rowley leaves out Greenwood and Dixon over 9s, genius that. We got lucky last week, our pack is weak and needs an overhaul. Sidlow, Dixon, Gerrard need moving on and we need to rebuild with youth. I think the effort tonight was incredible, well done boys - gallant effort. I'll take 7th, we've signed poorly and sold our best young Prop. Time to sign the correct sort of players.

Appears we completely forgot to attack tonight.
Very poor ball in hand and hardly any breaks or set plays coming off.
Very poor quality match, but KR definitely deserved it.
All down to next week, bring it 💪

Great thought MTR, nobody would disagree with you) but we have no money…we’ve had to sell our two young forwards because we couldn’t afford them and we need the money…hence season tickets going on sale before season end
2024 Wright back, Singleton in (occasionally) strong words with King V, MTR assistant coach and consultant to Rowley finds 3 under 25 international level forwards in the Championship😉
I’m sure tonight a number weren’t over Covid; Sidlow injured, Greenwood not played and presumably no match fitness, Dixon not fully fit, Gerrard still awaiting a decision on the Stadium😉
Next week we beat Catalan, Hudds beat Wire…believe me…inspite of the Wire disciplinary panel deeming 3 Salford forwards be banned

5 drives and a kick are just not suited for our current squad yet Maurice must have had a word with Rowls. It's just not our style.
Get back to playing wide again next week and we may give the Dragons a game but woe betide if they revert to tonight's script.

With no forwards your on the back foot you can’t play Rowley ball 🤦♂️ We were lateral all the time or am I watching a different game. Croft spent more time defending tells you all you need to know. |
