We know you’re not a Rowley fan WRD, and it’s really the Board that get the team to play but tonight we managed to get a team on the field that hadn’t trained all week, some were quite bad and I thought we stood up well, especially on a Sat night in Hull
For me with a bit of funds to be able to keep the likes of Dupree and Luckely, we’d be right up there. So get your mates on the Board generating that cash…and not another Community Share offer mate

So we go to Caravan Park and play Mauriceball with a weak pack instead of Rowleyball. 5 drives and a kick are just not suited for our current squad yet Maurice must have had a word with Rowls. It's just not our style. Get back to playing wide again next week and we may give the Dragons a game but woe betide if they revert to tonight's script. With no forwards your on the back foot you can’t play Rowley ball 🤦♂️ We were lateral all the time or am I watching a different game. Croft spent more time defending tells you all you need to know. Agreed, was flat as anything and just looked dull. Once again, no penetration from 2nd rows. Just trying to get errors from kicks.

However a bench of Atkin and Bourouh (Unused I think) is dumb. How do you expect to win a game when KR have 3 prop forwards on the bench. We made no ground because we had no forwards playing, Dixon and Greenwood were left out, that is the coaches call. I'll never understand team selections like this. Last night the effort was there but we lacked go forward, KR are nothing special. This season has been undone by the poor signings that were made last year (That is not the board it is Rowley/Blease). Sidlow and Dixon need moving on, if Gerrard is not fit we need to also take a view on him. We need 3-4 forwards under 30 preferably that can do a job, that way we can build for 2024. Leigh have done well with players like Mulhearn, no one else wanted him, this year he has thrived under Lam, we need those type of players we can coach and improve. As for this season we are not a top 6 club, I'll happily take 7th and see who we sign for 2024.

Great thought MTR, nobody would disagree with you) but we have no money…we’ve had to sell our two young forwards because we couldn’t afford them and we need the money…hence season tickets going on sale before season end 2024 Wright back, Singleton in (occasionally) strong words with King V, MTR assistant coach and consultant to Rowley finds 3 under 25 international level forwards in the Championship😉 I’m sure tonight a number weren’t over Covid; Sidlow injured, Greenwood not played and presumably no match fitness, Dixon not fully fit, Gerrard still awaiting a decision on the Stadium😉 Next week we beat Catalan, Hudds beat Wire…believe me…inspite of the Wire disciplinary panel deeming 3 Salford forwards be banned We did not get a fee for Lannon JJR he was free to Fax assume to offload wages. But to your point how we can give 2 year contracts to Dixon and Sidlow and let Lannon go is baffling. As Owners we have done our bit, the gates are up by 1,000 per game on average. We now need the board to deliver the extra funding to get better players and Rowley to sign the right ones, as WRD states he signed poorly this year. Lets see if we can deliver on the hype.

Maurice (& Worsley) you make your points re Rowley & the signings frequently. Nothing we can do about it now and furthermore (re Greenwood, Sidlow, Gerrard & Dixon) we don`t know about their current fitness levels.
What we do know - and I and a few others on here understand - is that with Rowley - he gets his team and personnel to play a certain kind of way. He is successful in this style and the figures prove it. He has never coached a frontline club yet his win : matches played is a staggering 73%.
For me he is a must at the club and we need to get our fans 100% behind him and his methods.

MTR I understood Lannon had personal issues so needed an easier brand of rugby ….and I think all we can do for forwards is sign what we can afford. I agree ours are on the ageing side and some not best buys but Sidlow Greenwood Dixon Gerrard Wright all medium term injuries at once is something you couldn’t expect…yes we have done our bit with the Community Funding and you more than most in potentially retaining the Stadium.
Owners only in name MTR, we’re never involved unless the Club needs money, as I’ve said it’s more like a Private Members Club not a Community Zclub and yes the Board needs to deliver the extra funding; we’ve got to get out of survival mode and continually expecting the coaching team to deliver way above expectations with the smallest budget….eventually like every team we’ll have a bad year.
On a positive note it’s great to look down on Hull Huddersfield Leeds but with a bit more luck better refereeing in at least 3 matches we’d be in the top 6, well done Rowley and his coaching team…as Dixon says always punching above our weight.

I know I have said this earlier I think we have over achieved So I am giving this season 7 out 10 with a little bit of more consistency from officials it could have been better,it could have been worse we could be watching Leeds. I would like to thank all at the club for all the effort put in and I look forward to next term.

One round to go and we still have an outside chance of making the top six. I’d have taken that at the start.

The officials have been suspect at times but I still think that's the result of the general application of the rules.
You're spot on about thanking the club it's been a really good season and although it's been unlucky that's the way it goes.
I was pleased with the HKR game effort given the week we've had.

I don't think Rowley has had much choice with the bench in recent weeks, due to injury and illness. No coach would haven't picked that bench unless they had no choice. I'm not surprised Bourouh didn't get on with Addy and Atkin also on the bench.
The big difference between last year and this year has been the fitness of our squad. Last year we stayed pretty healthy. We brought in mid-season reinforcements too and our backups, like Burke and Luckley, also stayed healthy. This year we've had Dixon and Sidlow on the sidelines most of the year. Gerrard has been out too. Greenwood hasn't been fit for two years and it's unfortunate we couldn't move on last off-season. Lafai missed games. Also, Burgess, Sio, Ackers, Watkins. Olli, Wright, and others.
Still, if referee decisions went out way against Leeds, Leighz and Saints at home, we'd already be safe in the playoffs in spite of all the injuries we've had (and the ill discipline, poor kicking game, and silly unforced errors). We've actually done okay and I don't think we can be too disappointed.
We need to find a way to adding to our squad depth next year. I'd like to younger hungrier players or loan players and see if we can move on people like Sidlow and Dixon to a Championship club with part of their wages paid. I thought moving on Longstaff part way through the year was silly as I thought he'd played okay when given a chance. But, in relality he wouldn't have made a difference as it's been our lack of props that's really hurt us. We need to look at the loan market... Wigan for a start as they have a bunch of props (Cooper, Mago, Ellis, Havard, Dupree, Byrne, before you get to Hill, Nsemba and others coming through) and Wakey. Eseh would be a good shout as Whitebread has attracted interested from teams with more resources.

Wakeys better Props need to be considered rather than ones 35 plus. Rowley needs to know who he wants then its up to Blease to make it happen. Paul King said Rowley had about 20 players to look at before the deadline for signings ended in August, this was off the back of selling Dupree. Rowley declined all the players available, meaning he is particular who he wants to bring in. Lets hope Props are his priority and we have 2-3 younger players coming in. Those older players we have who are not match fit need moving on as you say BDB. Last off season we got our signings wrong bar Partington and Stone, this close season needs to be better.

Agree on the recruitment. I wasn't a fan of signing Dixon (age and we had Watkins, Stone, Wright, Hellewell, Longstaff, Lannon, and Greenwood on the books for SR) and Sidlow, in part due to age, but also because almost hjs entire career has been played in the Championship and to sign him at 35 for SL was a poor choice. Contrast that to Leigh signing Mulhern who wasn't wanted but is younger and hungry.
I hope we retain Hellewell too. He's never let us down though we still need more grunt up front.
Pure props: Singleton, Ormonroyd, King, and Sidlow. SR who played prop: Wright and Hellewell LF/Prop Hybrids: Partington and Gerrard
I don't know much about Championship forwards but surely there is a prop worth a shot? Recruitment is done for many teams so from players over here I can only see the Championship, loan market, or Wakefield's squad as recruitment options. We don't know which Wakey players have relegation releases but the options are: Whitebread - likely to a 'bigger' club unless we can offer the financials. Eseh - Raw but has a lot of potential. He could be in demand but I think we could offer him more minutes and development than many other teams. He's one of the players who may not have a relegation break in his contract. Tanginoa - A hybrid player but he's been injured this season so there is a risk/reward balance there. Battye - Works hard and I'd definitely have him over Sidlow Atoni - Doubt he'd be in a lot of demand after a poor first season but it wasn't exactly a good squad to come and settle into for your first year. Maybe Rowley could get the best out of him and he's a big lad. Bowden - Plenty is SL experience but been injured this season.
