Well I'll be on the D&P party bus to KR but unlikely to be drinking after 5 days on Tramadol & Naproxen.☹️ Although I could take a day off and self medicate instead.🍺😁 Never been D&P before to watch a match. Do you need to get in early to be able to see the TV or is it okay? No idea! I've never watched a game in there... only ever drunk in there before/after coach travel to an away game. I imagine it'll be fairly quiet though as most of the regulars will be at the match.🙂 |

That's a heavy way to prepare yourself for't match, I hope it won't be that bad, though I'm not optimistic! (I never am) I know we can compete with anyone on the day but this one seems too uphill to me. The way I look at it, we're 2 points behind them in the table and we're not playing Saints/Wigan/Catalans, who are the "big 3" at the minute. There's a reason we're so close in the table with KR and that's because with fully fit teams there isn't much between us & them. We both have some top quality match-winners in our squads and it will come down to how both teams play on the day. Arguably they have a bit more depth in their pack but personally I think we edge it in the backline. Need to keep Lewis & Parcell in check and hopefully that'll nullify a big chunk of their threat. Don't think I've seen Schneider play yet so don't know much about him. One plus is we shouldn't get bombed to death like Abdull did to us at home earlier in the season.☹️ If we can keep the penalties and errors down we've got a chance. If we don't it'll be a long 80 minutes. I'd say it's 70/30 in their favour with them having home advantage but I'm thinking positively.🤞 We really need a fast start though. If we go a couple of scores down early on it could run away from us. I think all of that is correct but we won't have a fully fit side.
As for SRD avoiding errors and penalties I think that must be the Tramadol kicking in. I had fantasies like that after my operation in hospital.

Presumably a KR fan with a jittery memory; we understand we’re on the right side of the hill and don’t gloat…but hey ho RM most of our team ill with a virus this week and Obrien sent packing…so you’re in with a chance…I assume the crowd will be unbiased in your shouts for infringements in the game, as usual
Wonder if your 10k can cheer louder than Salfords 500 visitors tho
Anyway let’s hope for a draw and a Warrington hammering😉

So Covid in the camp, not trained all week, few with niggles so only 20 man squad, 2 hour 100 mile coach journey, strongest prop banned, ko at strange time Sat night…But any complaints from Rowley and the coaching staff..No not a peep…we savour th3 battle
That’s what I like about our coaching set up…they’ve created a team, who play often under dire circumstances with some terrible reffing and the smallest least resourced squad with no guarantee of money next year….But they get on the bus get off don’t complain roll their sleeves up and give of their best

Not an ideal week to prepare for KR away with illness in the camp but there is little we can do. Not sure how Rowley will setup today expect to see Partington start at Prop as we have no Singo. The final forward spot on the bench will be between Dixon and Greenwood, last week Dixon did not feature. I hope we use our Subs this evening as I feel it will be a tough game, Saints have done us a favour so we effectively need to win the next two games to make the top 6. Wire were dreadful last week making 18 errors, I expect KR will be a much tougher assignment but we can only give our best.
On a side note no signings announced yet which is frustrating. We need to stop signing players like Dixon and Sidlow who have barely featured this year, in addition we need to take a view on the fitness of Gerrard. One plus has been Hellewell, he was tremendous last week and deserves another year.

Other alternative for fourth sub is Bourouh - or start him and bring Atkin off the bench.
I think Greenwood and Dixon might both miss out.

I'm not sure we've had a choice with the bench in recent weeks and have instead gone with the fittest of the four players with some on a minute count. Backs are against it but adversity often galvanised a team. Let's hope we have enough gas in the tank and play for field position by finishing each set as close to the corner as possible, if we don't score of course.
Two props is going to be a tough ask. I guess Olli P will likely play some minutes there. I don't see how the rotation works with Atkin, Addy, and Borough. Assuming Borough spells Ackers. Addy and Atkin would both usually rotate at 13. I assume Addy will be asked to do some minutes in the middle and tackle tackle tackle. Atkon to spell Olli so Oli can come on back on at prop.

Interesting game so far. They've made mistakes but have defended all of our shifts quite easily. I think that's because they keep stealing and extra half second/second in the ruck to slow us down and the ref hasn't penalised them yet. It must be draining their energy though on the otherhand us not scoring with so much territory could also galvanise them. C'mon lads 💪
