Some Leeds fans think the Croft deal won’t happen as we want £300k, Croft doesn’t want to go Leeds due to commute and he also wants a get out NRL clause. GH counters this and offers £50k more and we have said no thank you. Some speculation but probably not far from the truth. I tend to agree, Salford will not sell without a replacement yet Austin and Cust are both available. The deal would be done by now surely. |

As this is about next season I have to say until the Brodie & Ollie events I was quite optimistic for a reasonable fist now the doubts have more than crept in they've practically galloped!

£300,000 missing which needs to be filled. Personally I wouldn’t be looking at selling a player like Croft as surely it would weaken the team, lead to adverse result, depress expectations and reduce attendances. Which would end with less gate money.
I’d encourage alternatives. A targeted spring crowdfunder, reclaim the apparent hospitality monies, campaign for a 29 game season to offset the central funding reduction and the losses from London’s minute support.

We need some new innovativ3 ideas not keep asking the sam3 fans for yet more money ; hospitality money should be via a contract assume the Club has one; 29 game season🙃😩
Start by gett8ng 5he zBoard and 3veryone who’s not an employee to pay for season tickets travel hospitality an& no free tickets except for special events; this happens at a number of community clubs..200x £ 30 x 25 …£150k ??

Watching the Toulouse v London highlights and would take a look at Corey Norman before Blake Austin to replace Croft. Has the ball on a string throughout and really dictates the game well.

A 29-game season? Please, no! The demands on the players are already high enough. We should go for a 14 team league, 26 games and if you must have a Grand Final, then either 1st plays 2nd or top 4 play-off.
I accept that there are not enough players of the right quality for 14 teams, but no other solution is without fault.

Got to be 14 teams and no relegation, a play off (top 4/6) a play off plate (next 4/6) as well for the nearly teams
The only way the quality will increase is by having more full time professionals playing at a higher level and not putting the pressure on relegation so that teams can use more younger players. It can be reviewed every 3/5 years via the IMG points system
