No doubt atkin is a top 🔝 player but the modern winger is expected to take slot of early hit up, which I have no doubt he’d do but he’s going to take a good beating If he plays there, that's on aspect he certainly need to work on.
Of course It could be just Rowles not giving too much away!

Atkin certainly is a gem. I love him. In the hooker and loose forward role. He speeds the game up for us in both of those positions and changes our dynamic. He's also been great at FB. He's done fine on the wing too when called upon due to in-game injuries. But, I'd rather see Ryan, Cross, Hankinson, and Nene, play wing before Atkin. I think Atkin offers so much in the middle of the park that we'd miss him. Plus he isn't tall for dealing with kicks, nor is he big for running the ball back.
I'd rather:
Wing: Nene
Centre: Stone/Shorrocks/Watkins/lad from Saints??
Bench Utility: Atkin
Than:
Wing: Atkin
Centre: Nene
Bench Utility: Bourouh
This presumed two injuries to out three-quarter line as Hankinson would.pbviously be the first choice replacement.

The new season is only a few weeks away now and I'm really looking forward to it. We lost some great players but have signed some potentially great players. The new players are coming to the club with points to prove and the backroom staff will have identified these players as the right ones. From the looks of it the squad seems to have had a good trip away teambuilding etc. A few more signings will help with numbers but they have to be the right ones to suit the team. I have faith in the backroom staff to sort this out.
Looking forward to every player giving 100% and for the team mixing it with the big boys again that's all I can ask for
Do any of you meet for a drink pre match, might as well get to know fellow Salford supporters face to face
