Really this game Hudds Away and Wakey Home are must win if we want a Top 6 push. Given where we are on a 7 game losing run a win is crucial. Hudds play us on a short turnaround too, therefore we have no excuses having had two weeks rest since Saints, hopefully our injury prone players will be fitter, Sidlow/Gerrard/Olmondroyd to give the squad more options. After Saints (And the shambles Ref) it will be interesting to see the attitude on Friday, I assume the players must be as frustrated as Rowley. I think we will either win big on Friday or it will be a big loss, I do not anticipate a close game like our last few. Hope its a win.

I still remain convinced that, after Rowles outburst, we'll be reffed out of the game to be honest. And in spite of losing the other day the Giants have to be favourites at home.
Wakey are alot better than their season would suggest and I saw that Stevo (yes I know!) said their coach should get coach of the year and if they stay up he won't be far wrong and it'd be much better than giving it to the winner of the GF.
I also think Wakey will beat SRD again, I'm afraid.

There is optimism Russ but yes we might get the stern end of the games Ref. For me two losses in the next two games is unthinkable. There is a separate coach thread that has been rinsed, however I'd be critical of Rowley and the players if we lost the next two games especially having two weeks off before Hudds. I expect a bounce back after Saints and we have no excuses for non performance having not had a short turnaround like Hudds. I guess we will know more when the squad is announced. I am more concerned about our style of play this season, its been limited, last years entertainers are a distant memory. Why this is I do not know? Really we have only lost Taylor and Luckley - Sarge hardly played last year. Perhaps other teams have improved, worked us out and we've not been able to compete to the same levels.

We absolutely need a Plan B, however at times we've not executed on Plan A - Champagne Rowleyball. Why I do not know?

Deffo agree on the forwards Dixon. I do not think we have found Plan A this year apart from Hull and Cas away never mind a Plan B. I'd hope the attack clicks as it can, as for Hudds and Wakey games we need to win one, momentum is everything in sport. It will be interesting to see who Refs us on Friday, we've seen more poor decisions over the weekend from Kendall (Soft Sin Bin) and Thaler (Greenwood/Knowles incident).

I think that the plan B argument might have some merit but only if you ignore all the other evidence and issues. Also if you look at Watto's argument against Saints www.seriousaboutrl.com/ian-watson-says-st-helens-success-is-tainted-by-their-use-of-the-six-again-rule-80250/The description exactly fits both the problems many have with the rule and it's application and there are alot of teams who use this very well indeed. It's a rubbish strategy that only fans who like winning above all else could be happy with. I'll let you work out who they are! I think the top six and Rowley arguments don't marry well, as there have been far too many injuries to key folk. In the past I've been amongst the first to argue for a coach's sell by date and this is nowhere near that. I also wanted to say that when I've disagreed and called things silly, it was the ideas not the person/people involved.

Wait until we get Liam Moore on Friday after Rowleys comments Surely he's been stood down for this weekend? I can only assume it was Moore, Thaler & Smith doing the VAR at Old Trafford last night where Onana tried to take someone's head off and no penalty given.😁

The only thing you can say about the premier league is they have found some guts, the clowns at Old Trafford last night have all been stud down.Because that was certainly the so called big team syndrome. The Wolves manager got an apology, that will great if they get relegated by a point. Rowleys outburst as not been punished, why because those running our game haven't got any guts either to apologise to us or sanction Rowley.

With some of the decisions that have come our way from the officials in the last few games, apart from Catalans away,it doesnt matter if you have plans A to Z. If we play against Huddersfield and Wakefield as we did against Saints, Leigh etc we can collect the points, if we have another Smith type performance we wont collect the points.

The fact that it's happened more than once and the refs have been the same ones turning up again and again, and because my eyes go skyward so often when I see who it is, I now look like a rennaisance religious painting!
I think sanctions will come in the form of penalties, six agains and fifty-fifties ..... even more than usual.
