Going to travel over tonight and our squad is only missing Wright and Gerrard. It looks like its going to be wet so I'd expect Rowley to play 4 Props, Rowleyball opportunities will be limited. We have pretty much a fully fit squad playing a team who played 5 days ago we have had two weeks rest. Hudds are vulnerable out wide rather than up the middle, we need to test their edges. I expect Rowley to have the squad ready and up for this game, their a very few reasons for non performance tonight, I expect a good showing. I hope our coach loads the bench with forwards, we run out of steam against Saints. We need to learn that using only 16 subs and putting backs on the bench we do not use is not going to win games, we need all 17 to impact games. Tonight is a massive test, can Rowley get the best out of his players for a top 6 push. Are the players up for it, will we play to the conditions. We've had a break, hopefully it has been a blessing. The next two games are must wins in my opinion. I accept we are miles off last seasons performance levels both in terms of coaching and player performance. To finish strong is a what the fans expect taking each game at a time building confidence as we go. Hudds played a tough fixture five days ago (with 12 men for much of the game) we need to take the game to them from the start. We cannot have any excuses tonight we need to start winning again. Agreed , although to be honest I think the result is more important than the performance. Let's get a win and get back on track, don't care how or how scrappy. Balls to Rowleyball, just get us a win and then we can look to build up the champagne stuff again

Agree Kilop. We need to break this losing run for everyone's mental state.

To be fair (TM Ian Watson) we should be up for this one. A weeks rest, pretty much a full strength side, Hudds on a short turnaround. We wont have a better chance to stop the losing streak.
However, this is Salford Red Devils. Squandering opportunities is in our DNA. Fingers crossed...

What a coach, what a team. Well done to everyone. Maybe the tirade against the officials had some effect. A Black and Tan before bed.

Yes!!! Well not pretty, but the result was the most important thing. Let's try and back it up next week and who knows, maybe we're not out of it yet

Enjoy Dixon, I'm just on my first G&T after navigating the return trip aquaplaning down the M62!🙂
1st half was error strewn and despite having a lot of territory we coughed up the ball far too often and looked a little devoid of ideas.
2nd half we were excellent though and our kicking game was nigh on perfect, complimented by some fantastic kick chases. We finally started to see some of the free-flowing rugby we're capable of and the Atkin try to round things off was a beauty.
Hopefully we can pull in a big crowd now for Wakey where another 2 points will put us right back in the play-off mix.🤞

Some interesting stats from last night...
Deon Cross very effective metres (130) and clean breaks (2) and best average metre maker (11) Brad Singleton most metres made (131) 16 carries for an average gain of 8 m. Making a big difference for us. Oliver Partington top tackler with 37 Stone had a decent game, although his stats are fairly average, except for the the double try scoring.

Great result last night ,I listened to the match on the radio and could hear the Salford fans giving their all. fantastic Back in the top 6 with 5 cup finals left. we have come through a sticky patch, had ups and downs, but have it all to play for now Which is all we could have asked for at the start of the season. Coming over for next weeks game, Can't wait

A great win last night the fans were immense, their must have been 600 - 800 Salford Fans making noise. The first 20 mins in attack were a shambles, too flat and the halves not controlling the game. Then the team switched on and started to play with purpose, deeper line in attack, sharper passes. From their we kicked on and in the 2nd half played some great Rugby. I thought the forwards all put a shift, Singleton was immense and Stone is massively improved. It was nice to see Cross have his best game of the season as did Burgess. Brierley as ever was dependable at the back. Ackers smart game management. The take away from this match for me is that we need depth in our line, if we bunch and stay flat we are predictable. Nice to see Rowley use all his Subs last night, Ken Davy needs to be asking questions of Watson, he has spend his investment on dross, how Tui, Russell or Connor start ahead of Pryce is beyond me.

On commentary Jacko mentioned that Ormonroyd put in a shift when he came on too. If he steps up between now and the end of the season he’ll be a real asset🙏🤞
