If we lost our last 6 matches then too right I'd expect questions to be asked of our coach, that's relegation form. However we are not there yet so no point dwelling on it. I support Rowley, but as has been stated our attack has been found out this year and even worse have been our signings for 2023. Based on where we are today we've gone backwards this year like it or not. It is on Rowls to find a way to win again (Improve our attack) in the remaining fixtures and get his singings right for 2024. I do think some of our better players performances levels have dropped also in 2023 compared to 2022 - not sure why maybe, confidence and momentum. They also have to improve moving into next season.
The players coming in cannot be put on the Board, they have done their bit with increased crowds and the Community Share Scheme. There is lots to be positive about as a Salford fan, just hope the next 6 games can give us fans something to shout about.

Get real guys we’ve had 2 or 3 bad results this season, lots of injuries, we’re looking down on big spenders Leeds Huddersfield Hull, the brand of rugby we play goes back to the Watkins era and according to the commentators some of the best in RL, we’ve had 3 v close matches at home where we’ve not had the best of reffing and some of you would risk getting rid of Rowley and get possibly another Marshall in?
We can’t afford to keep our younger forwards Dupree and Luckely and established forwards at top level are out of our reach, so we sell to survive/ develop, we have no Academy so no younger players coming thro, we bring in good Aussies,Croft, Wright, etc, when we get a good team others come in and poach…yes we’re not where we hoped to be but it’s sport…thank goodness we don’t support Cas or Wakey…look forward to the few remaining games and enjoy what we have, because it’s a long no RL winter
Ifs buts and maybes…..reality is we’re in SL next season….with some really good players and hopefully some good additions if Rowley and Blease can find them and stretch the budget..because yes we have the Dupree money and a few bob extra from crowds,but sadly still low budget cf others…so top 6 is a hope not sn expectation…

Yep some don’t like him standing up for the sport and his team...let’s keep it quiet then nobody will know the standard of refs isn’t as good as it should be and it’ll never get better
I’ll always support a man who’s open honest and doesn’t need to produce hot air to get on. Two v imprtant words in my dictionary Trust and Respect and Rowley fulfills those unlike many others…who should take note about the way he behaves and we would respect them more. It’s a strength to be open with people K and not a weakness. The level of reffing is poor, sadly and he’s now brought it into the open…hopefully he and some other coaches will help develop a plan to improve the situation
How many have signed up for your Bring Back Marshall campaign K? 😉

There's no way Rowley's job is under threat. We've had a bunch of injuries to a small squad and yet if decisions had gone the right way agisbt Leeds, Leigh, and Saints, we'd be sitting joint 3rd in the league.
Are there things to work on and improve? Sure, and Rowley knows this as he's commented on overplaying and our kicking game in recent weeks. We'll all have different opinions on what needs to be worked on. For me, it's discipline and our kicking game in open play as both have been poor more often than not. But, it's the same for all teams, even Catalan, I'm sure McNamara has plenty of things he wants improved.

Merely improvement is required both on the field and in terms of the players we bring in next season. On the field we have consolidated this season that is it, JJR the razzle dazzle entertainment in attack has gone this year thus far bar Hull away. Your making excuses for our non-performance and Rowley in particular over the last 7 games. Yes the Refs have hurt us v Leigh/Saints no doubt, moreover with 12 point leads we should be killing the game off and we cannot, this is where improvement is needed. |

I hope we can get back on track this year with a couple of wins, but aim has to be for next year to come up with a plan B and try to bolster the pack as I think the saints playoff game last year showed aggression and size can stiffle us and its been implemented well by a number of opposing teams this year.
Once we get a couple of wins, it would be good to see if we have any of the lads in reserves ready to make the step up or benefit from a bit of first team action

I would sooner be in trenches with Rowley than Ian Smith Smith said their is no right of reply,they are frightened of explaining some of their decision Smith then comes out with the old chestnut they will stop getting recruites After the referee's we have had in the last 3 home games I hope they don't get anymore recruites I think Webb in the Premier League is going to make refeeres explain some of their decisions this seasons Ps Have we had an apology yet. don't hold your breath. |

People don't want to suggest Rowley should be sacked but they want to discuss how it might happen, what could cause it and when the criteria make become applicable.
Er ..... well....Eh?..... I realise human beings can keep two conflicting ideas in their 'eds but mostly it best to keep them there!
