If Paul Rowley is offered the Warrington job, I hope we match the salary Warrington will have offered him. I feel that he is massively important to us going forward and we should do everything we can to keep him.

Now the financial position won't allow that and, of all things, that would certainly put the club under more pressure. Maybe too much!

If I was in charge at Warrington,I would have Paul Rowley in an heart beat. I not in charge at Warrington,so hope they don't have the same idea. Now we can had Cas,although I couldn't see him there.

In the words of Max Miller "Now here's a funny thing!"
SARL treating Wire and Rowles as if it's nothing to do with them stirring the pot
"Some Salford fans have since got worried with the speculation worsened by the fact that Rowley is at the Halliwell Jones tonight, as pictured by the Sky Sports cameras."
Then they wonder why we tend not to trust them.

Rowley commentating for the Beeb last night If Rowley was to go to Wire I'd be stunned having been bitten at Toronto. He is on a good run at Salford at the moment but still has much to prove as an elite level coach. He got Leigh relegated and Toronto did not work out. Thus whilst he has had one fantastic season with us last year there is still much to do for him to be considered a truly elite coach. I guess it depends on him buying into the clubs 2028 vision and being their long term. The Wire club environment is as toxic as Cas.

There’s not many I’d swop Rowley for, including Watson, but he needs the resource.Having a vision, whatever that is in our case, is all well and good, we all have it, but it’s the Strat Plan and the fulfilling of that plan that counts. Ask Putin.
What is the vision by th3 way, and who’s is it?
What impresses me about Rowley is his openness and honesty, something v rare in RL at all levels…and the way he’s managed to build an integrated squad after the ashes left by our previous recruit, Marshall.

Wire will not take a coach that has lost 7 on the bounce simple as that, close the thread down. Some fans think Rowley is god like, until he gets us to a final or we win something his stock is average in the game. Oh and JJR Salford fans dislike Watto but with a lack of funds and a budget team we made two finals. How does Rowley compare? He has done ok but is not a miracle worker - we have better players in this squad. Plenty to do moving forward.

Oh and if in a close game we've left Olmondroyd on the bench today and used only 16 players then Rowley needs questions asking of him like v Leeds, we need all our Subs to make an impact. Its not good enough and not on the players.

I don't really think it matters what we think about Rowley and his coaching.
The thing that's struck me is how players really like the way he goes about things. He has obviously fostered an honesty about his players and knows that for players to come into his system they need to be able to take that honesty on the chin. He is very much a players coach. He allows players their inputs and encourages them to play rather than lock them into a rigid system. See Watson for a good example of a rigid system. This comes with caveats though, and he requires players to back up mistakes or calls. I don't think our current run of losses is much to do with anything other than limited squad and unfortunate injuries to key players. We've been spread a little too thin for to long at the moment. It certainly has exposed our ultimate vulnerability and that is squad depth. I think the reason we give the most penalties away is due to the fact that we have the core of a great team and the workhorses of a Championship side. I say that with the utmost respect. We concede because we are operating at our peak in some areas and that means we are often not in control of outcomes resulting in those penalty counts. Offsides, silly decisions and slowing of play to name but a few.
I think Salford as a team will only beat these failings with stronger depth in the playing squad and keeping the core together. Can they still surprise us? Of course. Can they punch above their weight? No doubt. But for me, our shortcomings at the moment are quite plain for me to see.

Well Watson is now working with money, and not doing a very good job, in fact it's a good job they have picked up else he could have been with powell. As for Warrington they are talking about someone who as never been a first team coach in is life.In fact Warrington are another team who spent a shed load of money and never landed the holy grail Now for the Rowley God like bit,I for one have never called Watson and I thank him for what he did for us and if Huddersfield were in final against anyone but Salford I would hope they win.But I would wager that he had more to spend than Rowley. But Rowley will be judged on results just like anyone else, but I would say is teams play better rugby.

Yes C, openness and honesty C…in short supply but Rowley and his coaching staff have it in bucketfulls. As Salford supporters that’s the first thing we want; a lot could learn from the way his team and his coaching staff commit themselves. He’s come out today and spoken about the pathetic reffing of Jack Smith…disgraceful…3 home games on the spin now, the team must feel deflated c.newsnow.co.uk/A/1191454938?-44757:31536
