I don’t know if you managed to see the last 3 home matches C but reffing awful. I understand how hard it is to ref but yesterday and I just could never do it…But after HT, Saints were continuously offside and lying on and it was only Salford penalised for possibly minor infringements. The longer the game went on the worse the offside and lying on got. We actually w3nt with about 15 to go and Salford only 3 points down…it really was abysmal…and I never walk out of games
Glad he’s spoken out…I have a feeling he might pack the game in as it’s been so bad recently…Ref’s seem to start ok then panic when the game heats up..he let Saints and their behind the goal supporters bully him yesterday..
Offside and lying on need to be looked at seriously now

Yes saints were continually offside, but so were we. They were just faster and better at it. Holding down, same. The big calls they seemed to get wrong, from where I was sat ritsons foot looked like it clearly went over the line, and the first try looked like 2 knock ons, but why did we just stand looking at the ball??? There were also a couple at the other end, a kick through saints got a hand to but got given as tap restart. I don’t blame Rowley for kicking off purely due to straw that broke the camels back, but that wasn’t the worst ref performance we’ve seen.
We should still have won that game, the missed tackles in the second half killed ua

Glad Rowley has said his piece as I am sick of watching the same outcomes with poor Refs. At any other larger club after 7 straight losses fans would be asking questions about their coach, not our fans. The only question I have of Rowley is why Olmomdroyd did not come on, it puts us on the back foot using only 3 Subs - Dixon/Greenwood were other choices in the 21. As I have side before he has signed players he (Rowley) likes this season, lots have been injured and are too old. Massive improvement on this front is needed moving into next season. We need to move on some of our older players.

Agree Gadger, if we can afford them and we need a pack leader. We need to play as a Pack and get them working together Thought Singleton had an ok first run out but possibly did too many minutes first up.
It’s just perhaps with injuries Rowley just can’t get a settled set of forwards…but a few of them seemed lost and don’t run onto the ball
Jittery Jack Smith didn’t help yesterday tho

There it goes again. Gadger " ....better at it...." Sorry but,
Better at infringing? Faster at being offside? If we truly believe this sort of nonsense we might as well all give up,

If we truly believe this sort of nonsense we might as well all give up,I don’t agree with it, it’s wrong on both parts. I’d rather see the rules applied properly for both sides, it makes the game much more entertaining. I was just pointing out that I don’t feel the ref was bias against us on that part. We were both as guilty as each other. As always, we only see it one way but that’s very rarely the case

Being honest if we do not make the top this after the start we have had this season will be a failure as we've gone backwards. Rowley ultimately carries the ownership here and I do not blame him for being angry. The issue for me is that teams have worked us out and our set plays. In addition Cross/Burgess/Croft have been below the heights of last season. Thought Singo was our best forward yesterday, Stone looked better too. The issue is Rowley not rotating Props we had 3 and one not used. They ran up the middle as our forwards were gassed and Rowls chose not to use Jack which is baffling. Looking at the teams around us KR/Wire I still think we can make top 6. Wins against Leeds/Leigh/Saints would have made that certain. The team need to improve if they want our increased attendances coming back.

Teams will get away with all they can in sport…it’s the refs job to apply the rules, strange as it may seem R That's true to a point JJR, and the ref has to take the rap.
But, some teams base their game plan on risk reward and refs fail to sort it out early on.
The moment you say some do it better it implies all sorts of things, none of them acceptable.

I'm happy that refs will never get 100% right during games, that's life. The thing that needs sorting is that big calls seem to be often wrong, leading to a ref influencing the final outcome of the game. Now I'm not for one minute saying it's easy but if the game is too fast or too demanding for the refs (touch judges seem to be a pointless addition these days) then a video ref at each game should sort it, but with the proviso that like the NRL video refs can double check play leading to tries. Pointless having video refs just when called upon. They should be the eyes of the ref for calls that he doesn't see and should be involved more.
I have a little sympathy for the officials at the moment as they are being asked to call a game that plainly needs technology at every game. Video ref yesterday. We'd have won the game.
I think it's that simple.

As always, we only see it one way but that’s very rarely the case I don't suggest looking this up, but in previous posts and threads I've argued that given the play off for position and possession/ 6 tackles, penalty counts should be more or less equal that almost never happens.

Rowleys record this season against the top 6 as it stands is pretty poor. We've beaten Leigh and Cats that is it. Seven games lost also is alarming this form needs to change, it has too.
