MTR I don’t think Greenwood match fit yet Bench was Sidlow Burrough Helliwell King I think with Costello 18th man, but I agree Atkins should be bench and starting later We have lost our first picks for 2nd row Wright Watkins Dixon and two first picks for loose forward Partington and Gerrard…Addy awful , giving away lots of pens and Stone out on his feet Thaler first dubious try given by TJ, second was a try…reffing was ok for me…without video support will always be hard BUT we have by far the highest pen count in the League and ill discipline like that will cost us any game…like soccer players as well constant arguing with the ref..out of order Money, keep hearing we’ve have/had big debts (didn’t we have an £300k loan from the Council) and now have little spare…as usual we’re.a survival Club. As for Rowley I thought we’d get pasted yesterday with so many forwards missing, but we led 22-10 and stupidity with ill luck led to our downfall Agree with your assessment on players JJR but not that our discipline is worst than Leighs, Thaler choose not to penalise them. As for funds then the council loan was only 175k not 300k as wrongly reported. I do not know where we are in terms of money to fund players but given the investment from owners and increased attendances I'd be frustrated if we just 'surviving' and not building for the future. With all the effort I really do feel sorry for the players and coaching staff…the odd mess aka Wakey home and away but we need resource in ever way. Glad we’ve got a weeks rest.
And I now agree with your need for a good prop…Dupree and Ormondroyd were poor yesterday and as you say Atkins too small to start as a middle

The standard of Ref this days is shocking. Thaler was awful yesterday, I do not believe we are worse than Leigh when it comes to discipline. Thaler was playing to the Leigh crowd, the Refs are taking the piss out of us at home. He was biased did not give the Burgess try nor did he see our player being held back as he tried to support Lafai.
The team played better than v Leeds and we were unlucky not to win, yes we should have seen the game out 12 up. Leigh got penalty after penalty and six again numerous times. Their right edge was 1m offside each time yet nothing given. Rugby is a momentum sport.
Frustrating the past two weeks I'm happy to have the week off from Salford. As for signings we are desperate for some go forward.

I didn’t think Thaler had a bad game…we shouldn’t tackle high, we shouldn’t dispute and constantly harass a ref, …and there were lots of close calls…yes a lot not going our way but Thaler generally fair…we do have the worst penalty count in the League
As for signings the question before that is…do we have any funds? It’s about time the Community Club gave some answers to its Shareholders…when of course we get our shares and all the other things promised…but of course we’ve had the hiatus, the moneys been taken so …yes still All Quiet on the Western Front.There seems no accountability

The shareholder's money as I understand it was initially for backroom staffing or marketing,etc and as a primer to drawdown further government money.The drawdown will take time.
I have it on good authority that we very nearly couldn't pay the wages earlier in the season.
I also know that there maybe some positive news coming but whether that will come to fruition or happen soon enough to help this season is up in the air

As usual, lots of conjecture but no info to the Shareholders, perhaps until we have another rallying cry for more funds in another scheme for same people more money Squad Zbuider Shares etc.
So if we nearly couldn’t pay the wages we are again still in survival mode as we have been fo 5 years and the shareholders funds are paying the debts and propping up the Club. We’ve had 3 or 4 goes at Commercialism/ marketing but each time the lauded appointee left after @ short time havent achieved.
Where are we going really, anywhere or just keeping our fingers crossed that UK Gov will cough up funds now?

So the Shareholder money raised was, presumably, to keep the Club afloat.

WRD I can’t judge mate…I was told the decision was that the ball knocked forward by Brierley then hit the Salford player knocking it forward…but??
I do agree mate that the reffing in RL is not of the highest standard…Thaler who I think is the fairest is slowing down…but he doesn’t just react as a lot of others do.
I think the real solution has to be video at every game….although the standard of reffing in NRL is far far superior to ours; perhaps they pay them more, are able to bring in better refs…but yes overall something has to be done BUT we must vastly improve our discipline…we are v unprofessional
Ive not seen a replay but the worst was the obstruction when Lafai broke; the result would have been a sin binning at least

So then the Club raised funds to keep it afloat and buy some commercial acumen ( hope it’s better than the past) and hoping that some income will arise from UK Gov funding ( which can’t be used for commercial means) and we have no funds for players. Would your friend of the friend concur?
If so, as shareholders why weren’t/ aren’t we kept updated, instead of being swept along on an imaginary wave?

If Lafai knocked on then why did we get the feed at the resultant scrum? In other words the officials were wrong to disallow the try.
