Check out Brodie’s eye on instagram, dirty bastard Lewis at it all game. Nice cut and stitches for his trouble, Lewis is a grubby little ****. As I’ve said before KR are overrated but Willie Peter’s has class about him, Mikey can learn off him. He needs too.

Well I said Salford to show their spirit and grind it out to win by 8 and I wasn't far wrong. Not going to single out a player as I'd prefer to single out Rowley and just how well he and the back room staff are doing instead. We've come such a long way under his guidance playing some truly fantastic eye catching stuff but also a real hard working team ethic to the point where I don't even panic anymore when we go behind. Well done lads and the back room staff, you are making Salford a real force.

SRD have proved that they can do the tough wins against quite a few factors time and again this season and that must be a direct result of those involved.

We should have won that a lot more comfortably. To be honest I was frustrated with some of the decisions in attack, Lafai and Burgess looked like they had not played together at times. The best team won and we can travel to Craven Park in the coming weeks knowing we can score points against KR. As for Lewis he is a little grub, never stopped all game and deserved to be on the losing side. For me Brierley was our best player and made telling contributions which won us the game.

Need to stop targeting refs. They are human and make mistakes. I didn't think he was that bad. The poor decisions apart from Watkins 'try' were from the video ref today. We made far too many mistakes and had a poor completion rate. What we did have was a superior skill set and bags of hard work. Considering HKR are up there with us I was surprised how gassed they were going into the final quarter. Although, they made just as many mistakes as us to be fair. We were certainly the better side throughout the match and glad we got the win. Put Abdull in there and that game gets considerably tighter. Thankfully we have finally got rid of our HKR hoodoo and improved our poor magic weekend record to boot. Last is a massive grub. I think that might be my last word on him... I don’t think refs are being targeted C, I think it’s probably the manner in which Kendall refs. I agree the hardest job on the field, a job I’d never think of, and he got a lot right. I think with him it’s the way he refs, often making judgements too quickly, like the Watkins try and the obstruction near the line in the semi. In both instances should and didn’t use the video ref. His appalling mistake with the Watkins try changed the game somewhat at that stage and could have cost us the match and at that level,an elementary mistake and a v poor one And one of his big weaknesses, as with some other refs now, lining up by the opposition at the ptb….Lewis, who somebody needs to sort, not lined up all match…penalised just once But yes not going overboard with Kendall but for me another poor game and when he refs I don’t feel confidence in him…needs to take time to judge for me

Hull live:
"Salford probably played to about 70% of their capabilities and still eased their way through the contest. Get a 17 that hits top form, and you'd be staring down the barrel from the get-go."
Love RL: "It was a clinical display from the Red Devils, who beat Hull KR 26-16 in the opening game of the weekend.
It was an entertaining game between two good teams, with the Red Devils showing their clinical nature.
Paul Rowley’s side play some tremendous rugby and they are a joy to watch at times. Ryan Brierley is – arguably – in the form of his career playing alongside Man of Steel Brodie Croft and England international Marc Sneyd."

Really happy with that result and those on here who said we couldn't beat KR need to give their heads a wobble.😉 On our day we're every bit as good as any team in the league and we were nowhere near flawless yesterday but still should've won by 20. Yes we don't have the strength in depth of some teams but would I swap Watkins, Croft, Sneyd, Ackers, Lafai for anyone else in their positions in SL? I'm not sure I would TBH. You could possibly add Brierley into that mix as well as whilst individually he hasn't got the explosive impact of someone like French, he fits the way we play perfectly. Also, having someone like Atkin in the 17 every week just gives you so many options. The guy is a brilliant player & a top, top pro.
We also scored a couple of superb tries and once we really click someone is going to get an absolute towelling.
Throw in Wigan and Leeds getting beat and it wasn't far from a perfect day of RL.😎 The only downside was me being unable to get over to SJP because I put my back out playing golf on Friday.😩
Oh that and the small matter of a certain footy match that took place yesterday but this is a RL forum so I'll keep this thread clean.🙂
The next 4/5 league games all look winnable so we could be in a great position heading into late July/August. If we can do a job on KR in the CC we'll have built up some serious momentum.

Dear god, Wakey are atrocious. Just turned the game on as Nisbet got his sin-binning and Wakey struggled to create anything in about 3 sets in the Leigh 20 against 11 men. Swinton would give them a game on this showing.
Oh and nice to see Leigh have done themselves proud again with their Magic kit. I assume it's for a charity but feck me it's uglier than Peter Beardsley & Ben Westwood's lovechild.🤮😂
Edit: Lineham drops the ball with a clear run to the line.🤦♂️ I've got nothing personal against Wakey at all but they really do deserve the drop this year. Dire is being too polite.

They desperately need to get Gale on the field - he hasn't played since signing.

Delighted with yesterdays win. Really important that we keep racking up the wins to stay in touch with the top couple of places and with saints starting to find form behind us. Could do with another big win or two to help our points difference (by far the worst of the top 7) but I’m happy with the wins however they come. To be 2 points off top spot at this stage is amazing.
Well done Hull keeping Wire closer to us and Cas keeping Leeds well behind us. Shame Hudds and Wakey couldn’t do us a favour too but they were always long shots!
