Excuse my ignorance but Is it within the clubs gift to offer Tyler an improved contract? If they can afford it? Or is that it until it expires.

We can offer him a new contract but I don't think we should as it sets a bad precedent - put in a transfer request and we'll reward you. He signed a deal in the summer on the back of a good start last year. He's progressed and if he can maintain that for a full season (not easy for young props) then he could have approached us about a new contract at the end of the year having outplayed his contract.
I still think if we can get Hill and cash we've won, which is why I don't think it'll happen. But I'd take Byrne and a sizable sum.

If we don’t offer him a new contract we won’t keep him. Think that’s what Rowley meant when he referred to Salford paying him what he’s worth. The transfer request makes that more difficult from a club management point of view but significantly strengthens Dupree’s hand.
I think in an ideal world, Dupree/his rep should have sat down with the club for an open conversation - when he signed his new contract nobody knew how good he would be this year and his market value has gone up. It’s a short career so can’t sit on a £50k a year contract (if he’s on that much!) for 3 years when he could double that elsewhere. The club should have responded something like ‘keep playing this well and if you’re still in England form at the end of the season we will look at an increased offer’.
Not entirely convinced the whole club hierarchy has been in the same place all the way through this but I think they are now.

Rowley also seems to be identifying that his coaching team should be backed…pointless building a squad if it’s going to be decimated and from what Dupree has intimated it’s because of an issue he has with the Club
Interesting times

Tbings are getting better but if we have to sell we sell and move on.

Dupree was happy to sign a new contract a few months ago,the reason Dupree is not happy is he wants extra now he knows what hull kr are offering him, again the club have not done anything wrong but he wants more!as for the offer 200,000 for a lad that’s played less than a year of super league, any club would look at selling!I spoke to someone high up from Warrington the other day and even they said if it was them they would snap there hand off 200,000 in todays game is a lot of money they said!it’s not about decimating the squad as we have had offers for most of them in the last couple of months but the amount that’s on offer is silly money!

I think we're in danger of making out that he's a full blown England international who is dominating the opposition every week with MoM performances. He isn't and doesn't. Can he be and could he? Sure. We apparently have £2 Millon committed in salary next season which means we're only a marquee short of the full cap. How underpaid could he really be? Or how overpaid are others? It's certainly interesting.
It's a short career and players deserve to be paid what they are worth. Some will inevitably get overpaid and I think this could end up as one of those situations. Competition increases the price and at the moment you'd be paying for what is essentially potential and not the finished article, while rejecting a sizable transfer fee for a player who hasn't even played a full season yet.
He's played well for half a season and played for a severely depleted England team - Lees, Walmsley, Hill, Burgess, Thompson, Oledzki, and Cooper are ahead of right now though some are obviously close to retirement. I'd thrown Sutton in there too. There are others with similar potential too. I like the look of Harrison who has backrow flexibility. Holroyd looks the real deal and Trout has talent. Both Greenwood and McMeeken have made a good transition to prop too. It's conceivable that he never played fo England again. And equally conceivable that he becomes a regular in a couple of seasons.
For all of his strength, he didn't dominate the French pack, nor does he tend to dominate on the field but I think it could come. He does make decent metres and his effort is tremendous. He has a very high workrate and desire, which is evident the number of times you see him making cover tackles and the minutes he does. He was the one who almost got to French on his last try when we played Wigan. I think that effort and work rate mixed with his quality puts him in good stead to become a regular at international level. He has bags and bags of potential but it is still potential. He could be a cornerstone of our pack for the next 10 years and I'd love to see that happen as Rowley is certainly a coach who can maximise a players potential. But, I don't want to see us overpay for the player he might be in three years time.
He's also approached thinga in the wrong way. He signed a contract before the season. He has done well and if that continues all year he should have approached the club about an improved deal at the end of the season and stated his desire to remain with us and be a key part of the group moving forward. I'm sure the club would have been happy to negotiate a 5-year deal. He didn't do that but he's young, badly advised, and we all make mistakes. Credit to him for his performance against Hull, he has shown he will knuckle down and get on with it.
I'd be happy to see him sign a new deal IF it isn't just a rise and is also an extension, so he is committing to the project. If he isn't willing to add years to his deal then I don't think we should offer him a new contract. We should get as much money for him as possible and hopefully a player. Then use the transfer money and wages that have been freed up to target a player who will commit.
Will Tyler do this? I think so. Surely he knows he's in a good environment and under an excellent coach, so this could be the ideal route forward. But a club like Wigan have many advantages over us on the cap because of all the dispensations they get, which might mean we can't compete with a contract offer and again, I don't want us to overpay.
I don't think the club will do anything behind Rowley's back. From the little I've spoken with PK and PT they have a tremendous amount of respect for Rowley. It could come down to a situation where we simply can't, or shouldn't, compete on the wage front and move on. In which case maximise the returns and back Rowley will a suitable replacement.
I'd be happy to see an extension on our terms, I don't want to be in an auction, and if it's evident he'll leave in two years time then we may as well move on now. The club are operating smartly by rejecting bids and stating we want to keep hold. We still hold the cards
If there is any chance we could get Hill and cash from Wigan and tie Hill down for 5 years, we should do it, no questions. He has immense potential and would benefit from increased game time with us, and it still demonstrates the club will stand firm and maximise any deals we make. We also move on a layer who has put in a transfer request and has a d**k of an agent. It won't happen because Wigan will know he potential of Hill. I'd still take Byrne as an option. His potential isn't quite what Tyler's but who knows when he is coached by Rowley? He's also a Salford fan, I believe.
At the end of the day I'll trust the decision Blease and Rowley come to.

Think it has been a bit mishandled by the club which has unsettled him (the 4 weeks to reply to KR is a hint of that). Agree £150-200k is silly money and we should take it really but we don’t have the depth of squad or resources that Warrington do. So we have to worry about when it happens and have a ready made replacement than they would have to Problem is it has become an ‘are we a selling club or not’ issue. ‘Non-selling clubs’ may also sell if loads of money is offered but we don’t feel like we are selling from a position of strength

This is a lot of talk and drama about one player who wants to leave.
I even heard Hunt on Humberside Radio saying it might be because he was one of the academy let go by Marwan.
