I know the club needs money, but at some point we need to break the cycle. This lad has played a total of 48 games in his career and was happy to sign up until 2025, so for me time to get tough. Drop him into the reserve team and let him think about his actions. I know this weakens the first team, but sometimes you need to look at the bigger picture. I would love the club to have the backbone to suspend him from the club for a week and let him think about his poorly advised actions.

Suspend him for what... asking for a transfer request, which is well within his rights?
If he's being offered a much higher wage, which is very likely, then you can't blame him for wanting to him I'm sure we would all out in a request for a substantial payrise.
The club are also within their rights to decline his request and expect him to fulfil his contract. I'd like to see a resolution that sees him stay but there's no point having a player here who doesn't want to be here. I'm sure he'll still give his all on the pitch but it will affect him mentally to some degree and that will likely see a decline in his performances.
I'd like to see the club stand their ground if they believe this can be resolved. However, if it can't then it's best to move on and get as much money as we can. We still haven't signed up King or Wright and should be channeling energy resigning those those first and letting Him KR sweat. I'd also offer him to other clubs and see what we could potentially get for him.

I think the fact Dupree's has had 7 clubs already and he's only in his early twenties, makes me think that this was always bound to happen. My heart is disappointed, but my head says get rid of Dupree at the right time negotiating-wise for a good fee and trust that Paul Rowley and Ian Blease will find somebody with potential to come in and improve them, as their recruitment track record suggests they can ably do.

Well that's a damp squib, It says naff all except "there are 2 sides to every story"😂 Totally pointless article by "alleged" journalist Matt Shaw in the Hull Daily Fail.🙄 I wonder where that allegiance may lie.🤔 A simple statement of "KR have come in with a big offer that financially I can't refuse because it would be best for myself and my family because it's a short career etc" will suffice. The club clearly don't want to sell him and have stated they don't need to so I'm not sure what this "other side of the story" can possibly relate to.

Modern journalism is trash isn't it? This is a nothing story with a tweet that basically says nothing either.
There are so many articles out there which are made up of a series of social media posts with now actual writing taking place. It's a joke.

I agree its a statement from Dupree but it looks very much like he wants out as per his Transfer Request. I have no issue moving him on for a decent fee, KR are a disgrace and have acted poorly.

Surely the truth is: Tyler has a contract with Salford. Hull KR has made a bid for him that Saflord rejected. Tyler has handed in a transfer request to try and force a move, Salford has rejected his transfer request.

Where's the clickbait, the conjecture, the mistruth and misrepresentation and the unreliable inside reliable source?

AFAIK, they approached Salford with an offer that was rejected and then another improved one, also rejected. In contrast we ourselves had a contracted player in Frankie Halton (also plucked out of the championship) who stated he wish to move and because WP only wants players committed to the club he allowed him to leave without even a transfer fee.

I wouldn't say KR are a disgrace, I think the issue here lies with Tyler and his agent and the way they've handled the situation. KR obviously have cash to burn and they've approached the club with multiple offers that have been rejected. Whatever has gone on then between Dupree, his agent and KR no-one knows but this is all about the 💵💵💵 talking. PS. Very generous of you to give Frankie Halton away but that won't be happening with Dupree.😁👍

Yes I noted Halton when he played alongside Dupree in the international😉 Halton appears not to have been wanted, not exactly a top line player. Dupree..players agent probably offering Dupree around for more money (and his cut) and KR probably thought that it appears Salford struggling for cash…depends on what glasses you wear Robin and which paper you read with them…the Sun or the Guardian. We’ll never know but you really can’t compare apples and pears or Halton and Dupree…by the way if you get him, and before you do there’ll be a bidding war, he’s good at times and still has a lot to learn like our other r3ject Luckely😉
And if you’ve bought your Final tickets, we’ll buy them at a good price…no agent involvement. Keep smiling mate

Keep smiling mate You will have also noticed in that International match that Dupree was stood next to Jez Litten during the national anthem. I would suggest every player has clauses in their contracts to receive a bonus should their club form lead to an International appearance and (according to reports in social media) one of the above aforementioned players was paid his whilst the other was asked to defer his until funds allowed leading to disenchantment and his tweet of 'two sides to every story'. Our cup final tickets would never be bought until our appearance was guaranteed mate but there is a growing optimism at the club that we can indeed challenge for silverware in the very near future.

Hull KR will be Dupree's 8th club and he will probably play 2/3rds of a season for them before moving on again. Rervers would be best advised not to get too attached to him.
