Amazing week. Fridays captains event run prior to Saints will get pulled you watch. |

During the Wigan game on CH4 a fee was mentioned of 170k how true that is I don't know unless they are paying Singletons wages also not much different from the bids a few weeks ago. From what Tyler said, Rowley did not want him to leave so make of that what you will, seems strange based on previous statements we would not sell without his approval! The silence from the club is deafening and communication needs to improve drastically or all the momentum that has been achieved recently could disappear very quickly. Honestly, I still think 170k is a great fee for him and wish him the best, my disappointment is we have not come out and said what they are going to use that for players be it be this year or next, just a little something would have been nice.

Rowles may not want him to go but, we are a business, and any figure like that would make you think about selling. Sorry, but there are bills there that will need paying. If we use (say) 40k to bring another good forward from the Championship, we'd be purring.

Funny King and Blease have made no statement on this, I believe Tyler’s version of events.
"It was an upgraded contract and had an extra year, so it would have seen me stay there until the end of 2026. From my perspective, I wasn't going anywhere and after resolving the issue I was happy to be staying”.
"But they told me they'd accepted an offer. If I'm honest, it p***** me off, not because I was being sold because I'm joining one of the biggest clubs there is but because after everything I've been through and all the aggravation I took, they've sold me anyway.
"I spoke to Rowls (Paul Rowley) about it. He wanted to keep me but we've had plenty of conversations and parted on great terms. He's happy for me and wished me all the best."
Clubs got a lot to answer for asset stripping with no clear plan. And at least have the courtesy to explain the Why to investors and fans.

I am not having the line or the mindset 'we're punching above our weight'. King when he and Trainor pitched for the community investment talked about changing the narrative and not selling our best players to build for the future. That is exactly what the club have not done with Tyler, a player that claims he did not want to leave. So where is the change of narrative here? The club have to explain the action of selling Dupree otherwise it makes a mockery of the request to invest in the Club and their whole pitch around a community club. Its super worrying when you read that Rowley wanted him to stay - what are the board doing? To be honest I have no idea...... If we had a couple of players coming in I get it, but nothing. |

So Taylor wanted to leave when the initial bids came in from KR & Wigan but 2 months down the line wanted to commit his future to the club long-term and was gutted to have been sold?
Once a player's head has turned it's incredibly difficult for them to get back to previous levels of performance. Whilst I'm not saying Tyler downed tools he was far less effective after the initial transfer rumours came out and he seemed like a different player. We've all seen that. I think he's got huge potential and he could go a long way in the game but maybe the club thought the offer was too good to turn down when the ship had been rocked.
Time to move on. I wish the lad a long and successful career and hope the club can bring in able replacements to ultimately strengthen the squad. I can see Mago coming (pending wage demands) and he'll add plenty of beef to the front row.

Salford Slim when we all invested in community shares we were told the narrative would change in not selling players. We got 175k in 2017 for BMM and we’ve now got more for Dupree.
Why sell Dupree at a crucial point of the season.He’d signed a new contract to extend his time at Salford.
Why do the club accept losing four players from an already small squad this season and do nothing about it. We’ve reduced our player spend hugely.
What are the club planning to do with the Dupree money.
I’m lost in terms of the clubs mindset, we’ve not even a rationale behind any of this.

I'm off to the beach as it's my last day in Lloret Maurice and respond later when I'm sat by the pool with a nice cold pint of Ladron de Manzanas.😋 Right now my main focus is topping up my tan and listening to TMS where Stuart Broad is going to take Warner into retirement with him wrapped up in a little pink bow.😁

Between Tyler himself, Harris, our club and lazy media there's no way anyone knows exactly what's gone on. What's said and what's reported may be some way from the reality. I get the feeling that there's smoke and mirrors from all sides for whatever reason. I don't see any point in continuing all these hypotheses based off nothing more than these differing accounts.
He's gone, we move on. Kinda pointless getting worked up anymore over following the threads of one of the many yarns surrounding this.

You’re right our players gone - all I want is sone honesty around why? And what the plan is to backfill and spend money. The board seem to just do as they please. We will be asking difficult questions on Friday be assured of that. Our clubs looked like a circus this week. |
