How about the club aiming the shareholding scheme to the local retail sector and giving any shop or bar etc that joins, a Red Devils 'We are shareholders in Salford Red Devils and our Local Community' window & van sticker package to let their clients know that this business is supporting it's local Superleague club and community?
If Salford supporters prefer to drink, eat and shop with their fellow shareholders, so much the better.
Just a thought, or viable?

Great idea but something to build into the scheme once the minimum target of 250k is hit, for now we need to keep focussed on the fund rising efforts and hit/exceed the target set. Publicity is key, sharing social media posts, MEN articles, or even chatting in the pub. We all have a part to play.

I have just emailed The Manc group on Facebook with over 700k followers, the clubs Media Department need to be all over Social Media Groups like this as well as press. We've not had any new Tweets to share today and Tyler is making his England debut. Its the perfect opportunity to spread the word.
Have an angle - As a community owner how would you feel watching your side walk out at Old Trafford. We need to be creative and continuous to attain and exceed the 250k target.

Momentum has been a bit slow today but over 300 shareholders now and over 88k in funding, lets keep pushing the message, we need to get over 90k today.

Over the 90k now it's been the slowest day but after day one it's still 40k over 4 days, which is a good pace. As MTR mentioned above, hopefully, there is more in the pipework in regard to marketing. Plus you would expect there are probably a few businesses speaking with the club about 10k investments.
-----
So, I hadn't looked at the ' Own the Club' page on the club's site until just now. I'm confused about something.
I was under the impression that whatever you invest, you only get one share, not multiple shares? So either sentence one, or sentence two is incorrect. Or am I missing something obvious?
-----
I also wish we'd proof-read things before they go up - 'in the world to become a community owned through a community benefit society.' Community owned should also be hyphenated.
- and 'from Salford, from Greater Manchester and by those much further afield' should be... 'from Salford, Greater Manchester, and those much further afield.'
- £100 or £100,000 get to cast - should be gets.
- Maintain as competitive a playing squad as possible that ccompete at the highest level.
It's always worth typing text in Microsoft Word first and installing the free version of Grammarly. It's imperative that we get this right. This is the defining moment for the future of our club.

I think our only way to get to the 250000 will be a fair few businesses at 10000 we’re not going to get there with supporters alone, most fans will only be able to put 100 in and 10 at that is only a 1000 will need the business support

Agree LH Red we need business behind this.
Yesterday was a little slow and the club hardly had any new content to share, people invest when the initiative is pushed.
We need more than the community angle also, a short video with big hits, fantastic tries and the end message - how would you feel if the team you own with the SRD Community walked out at Old Trafford. Start showing this campaign as aspirational rather than a means to an end.

Absolutely agree with Black Dragon Books here. Nothing screams "Amateur" more loudly than grammar and spelling mistakes in publications, especially when they can easily be avoided with apps like Grammarly. In fairness, the back office staff are probably understaffed and overworked.

I agree with this, the business interest will have to be pushed harder and the club will no doubt liaise with sponsors etc over coming weeks - stuff does take time to be agreed. However we need more in terms of media, one article and content on Twitter is not enough. Change the angle as has been said. Make buying into Salford aspirational for the funding community. Paul Kings article detailing all the Why's was tremendous but for this to truly work we need the attention of the mass media and different concepts about why we are doing this each week - this will proactively change the narrative keeping the cause relevant. Anyhow keep sharing and pushing the content and any New stories. I tried The MANC group, Gary Carter and George Riley yesterday.

I answered my own question. In the FAQs, it confirms you only get one share. So, 'regardless of how many shares they hold.' needs editing too. I'll feed these errors back.
Which article was that MTR? I don't think I've read it.
I agree with the above we need a more aspirational marketing campaign. The word 'imagine' is powerful in marketing - we need people to envision the future successes they could be a part of and how they can contribute. To think about what we can do as a collective. The community schemes and pathways we could fund as a collective with small yearly donations. Charity work we could be involved in. Improving health and wellbeing. Yearly community events. Events 'on the road'. The things we could do nationally if we grow support. This is what we need to sell.
At the moment the 'sell' is to become a part-owner of the club and save it in a way. It's very much geared towards fans, of which we only really have 4k diehards. Can we reach 250k with that number? Sure. The average investment at the moment, minus the 10k investment, is £258. You'd like to think there will be some 10k investments in the pipeline too. But will we ever got £1 milllion, or £2 milllion? I can't see it without a vision that attracts people who aren't already fans or part of the Salford community.

Excellent to see us featured in Business Live. Hopefully, more media outlets pick up and the scheme and give us some much needed press. If this was a football club, even in the 4th tier, it'd be all over the BBC and Sky Sports websites. We just need to keep pushing. I think once a few business join, especially if we can get one of real note, more press will follow... maybe the club are saving an ace up the sleeve, so to speak, so they can maximise the impact of any national article.

That is a great massage Dixon, all any of us can do is buy community shares if funds permit and spread the word of the club.
