£799 short of 100k. That odd pound made me chuckle a little. I wonder what the story is of putting in £266 - I suspect maybe the number has some kind of meaning to the person.

I'm being negative and I apologise, but this flatlined a lot quicker than I though and am worried about hitting the £250k mark.
We desperately need business, old chairman, ex players etc all involved and a few £10ks otherwise I'm worried.

It's gone as I expected really. It's only been a week and lots of people wouldn't have had a new pay packet yet. I know several people who don't get get paid until mid-month and they plan to invest.
I'm hopeful that 25% of our fan base can invest and see the benefits of it. If they do I think we can average £250 per person. I do expect there will be some 10k investments in the pipe line. But, as others have said I do think we need a better sales pitch. We need an aspirational vision. We need people who are not fans to imagine the possibilities if they get involved. Then a longer term plan to continue growing the ownership further a field. I imagine some of this is in the pipework and we don't know about it.
I do think the club slipped up a little in not letting people forward plan. For many people taking £100+ out of their pay packet, given the current financial climate, in one month is too much. A lot of us heard something like this was coming along but we didn't know the costs. A couple of months notice would have been beneficial. It would have given time for the word to spread, but more importantly it would have allowed fans a couple of months to raise the £100. We didn't need to know all the tiers just that every who invested would have the same share and the minimum investment was £100.

BDB we are where we are with the Investment - no one knew what the uptake was going to be like. I agree on the aspirational selling point, we need to relate the investment in the club to success and high performance as well as community, this has been fed back to the club.
We are £700 off 100k, I'd have taken that as a start - now we need business to buy into the Salford vision and community initiative. This is on the club to use their own business network and channels such as LinkedIn. For now lets get to the 100k mark.

Agree with the businesses etc, however we have 35 days - 5 weeks to raise the funds. Yesterday was slow however there will be days like that. The club needs to rally round local/regional businesses. As for us we just need to keep sharing content and press media. Come on lets get the 100k up. |

It's not just about the money, if we need to show to IMG we are a community club, we should also be looking at investors. 1000 investors is more impressive than 400 producing the same revenue, it shows we are inbeded in the community. Large geographical catchment might help also. |

I haven't had luck with getting any retweets. I've tried SL, NRL, Vossy, and the local football clubs, including the women's teams.
I've just sent a tweet out and tagged JJ Watt, his wife, Burnley and Vincent Kompany, hoping for a retweet. JJ Watt has over 5 million followers.

Brilliant! 357 investors so far. I reckon we should be able to double that from a 4k fan base, especially given that family members may get involved too. It feels great to reach the milestone!
I'm working on a site at the minute - Black Dragon Design, offering web hosting (with extras worth from £135 to over £700 per year) and design services, so if I get any bites early on I'll definitely invest, I'd love to start with £250 now and see if I can bump to 1k before next season.

One being outside the ground and another being in the 1873 suite, this way we are targeting fans as well as businesses.
