I was just thinking, imagine we could get to a situation down the line where 25,000 people own a share (not a lot in the UK or globally) and they were all happy to throw £20 a year in the pot... £500,000 that could be used on various programmes and initiatives. Pathways. Marketing. Training facilities. Increasing the staff. Expanding the playing roster. We put together ideas an initiatives, vote them through, and fundraise.
It's ambitious but definitely a realistic long term goal, especilaly if we get some success on the pitch and we can combine that with pitches for the share scheme. We need to engage communities across the countltey. As like mentioned in another thread. Let's run touch tournaments local take them on the road across the country - likenuo with schools and businesses, and get sponsors to find the travel for the people running them over a weekend. Run tournaments in London, Wales, Newcastle, Edinburgh etc. Generate fans through those initiatives. They can't necessarily attend games but they may become an owner and purchase RDTV.

Just short of 80k at the moment. After 50k on the first day we got around 10k and days 2 and 3. Day 4 looks similar. Hopefully it maintains

Hopefully it maintains Yes it is momentum, the club need to start to push for TV coverage/Radio and different mediums and get us content to share like the MEN story about the Community Share Scheme. Paul King has also discussed a kick off event for the Community Share Fund so it is watch this space. Us keeping sharing content is the most important thing - once we break 100k that is a different narrative. Bear in mind to date only 256 have invested so the scope is huge if we promote our cause. |

Good shout. We do need wider coverage on radio and TV. Still nothing on the BBC yet. The MEN article is great though.
