Yes Maurice I think with the short turnaround sometimes you got to bite the bullet,Williams Costello longstaff lannon greenwood and hellewell could all have been called in last night but rowley keeps with the narrative we haven’t got anybody when we clearly had,no one likes losing but a defeat at Wigan a few rested bodies and a winnable April but now we have more injuries and will struggle! Agree with this and the need to focus on April games with higher win percentages. Rowley has to manage a team across a Season, risking players with knocks or injuries is daft such as Lafai, the Wigan game will not define our season. To your point JJR yes our options are down to the clubs financial position, however we do have a Squad of players we have to trust in to play as an when required. This was not the case on Friday bar the change at Hooker. So yes the club need to raise more funds, they are trying to do this at each game, Mothers Day and now the Hudds at Home for ST holders, but Rowley also needs to manage our injured players, limiting game time if necessary and using our squad.

I think if we start trying to target certain games, we are asking for trouble. Both Wigan away and Warrington away were narrow defeats which could and should have been turned into victories. Hull KR and Wakey at home would be ‘target games’ and we lost one and almost lost the other. I trust Rowley to do what he thinks is right and for every game put out the team which he thinks has the best chance of success.

The one thing I would never even think of doing WR is telling Rowley how to run a rugby league team…I spoke to Lafai at the gym Thursday he said he was fully fit and raring to go Ride the waves WR

To be fair to PR... Initial assessments of injuries are done in real time in sport. Emphasis is on player welfare first before deeper diagnosis, and rightly so. It's why we have the HIA for example. All coaches are advised initially, by experts in real time, then a rough diagnosis and outcome based on the limited data available is given before then getting a full diagnosis days later. The experts air on the side of caution for welfare during games, then refine that with further study under less time restricted circumstances. You then have the fact that every player heals differently. Some quicker and some slower.

What is the alternative? Tell the world which includes the opposition the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth. It’s a nonsense to even hint at a criticism of the coach. He’s as good as there is in Superleague and I for one appreciate that fact. No I’m not Paul Rowley or indeed one of his family as some cynics out there will claim. Enjoy the ride it’s as good as it gets at the moment.

Paul Rowley is a Prince or maybe King in Mind Games ,
A pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity; an optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty.

This games easy isn't it,well on here it is.I have read through and we are being told about negativity,I personally didn't think anyone had been, their again I will stand to be corrected. Then one we should be aiming higher, this is our best squad for a long time, might even be the best of the Super League era,I think that one is for debate over a pint on a wintery Friday night,I am not saying that's not right,And would fight for anyone to hold that view.I just don't see it. And quite a few more varied views especially around the coach, thats what makes this forum great and long may it continue. So if I may I would like to move the discussion on a tad and to ask where people genuinely, think we will finish this season.Using head not heart.

Based on who I've seen us play this season (and the games containing other teams that I've seen on TV) we're top 6 material all day long. And as above I'd have us top 4 based on our best 17. The reason we might fall down is if we continue to have lots of injuries and if a couple of our spine are out for any length of time as well. Hudds for example have a massive squad, but in all honesty if we both put out our best 17 I think we're a much better team. They just have the depth we don't but they seriously lack pace in their backline and I wouldn't swap our pivots for theirs either.

We are now two centres down with Lafai and Sarge leaving. We need to use our bloody squad not risk our best players.

Apparently it’s not the original injury WRD it’s the other leg, according to the consultant…when I saw him last Thursday he did look good and had no problems running…I did a hammy before Christmas, only a minor one and struggled walking properly but certainly couldn’t run for 4 weeks
That’s RL, you need a squad of 32 and we have 27…but the team do amazingly well without resources
