I despise the six again whether for or against Salford. Not only does it often not benefit the offensive team but it seems like rfs give it in situations where they wouldn't normally give a full penalty.
I'd like to see it changed so that it's a full penalty if it's within 30m of the try line at either end. That way, if you are deepnij your own half you have the chance to kick the ball 20/30m and switch momentum, instead of the defence simply choosing to give away a couple of extra tackles to slow any momentum. Also, it gives you the opportunity at the other end to take two points. Take tonight, Croft is held down under the sticks, we could take two points for an 8-2 less and the ball back. Instead it's six again and we don't score. Wigan go to the other end and get 6. It's stupid that you can't take a shot at goal. What if it's the final minute and you're two posts behind. A team could just slow you down and concede tackles but not points. **** rule.

Just don’t 7nderstand the rule; seems refs get carried away with the situation….too many of them…and ref missing ball steals for me.

Discipline needs improving second half.
Wigan won't play that bad second half.
Every time I watch borough I am more convinced he is not good enough.
However, enough doom and gloom.
We look dangerous.
Kicking is good.
Pack is more than holding its own

Couldn't close it out, unfortunately. Great effort and I'm super pleased after the Wakey game.
We need to be a bit tidier and smarter at times. Sidlow ending up with the ball on the 5th tackle. Sneyd not getting it first receiver and then putting a poor improvised kick in, then Borough knows he's offisde and gives a penalty away. Twice we lost the ball while playing the ball, Brierley on the last tackle in Wigan's half, Sidlow also on the 5th (pretty sure it was). Edge defence needs work, Burgess ran PAST the ball when it went to Toby King for the winning try.
Other times to be smarter. Sneyd tried a 20/40 in the last 2/3 minutes but waited until the end of the set and Wigan's palywrs were back, you may as well swing the ball there. The 20/40 needs to be attempted when they aren't ready for it, like 2nd tackle. Not going for a short kick off with 5 minutes to go too 🤦

The big point is why play a clearly unfit Lafai?!rowley says we have a small squad then plays Lafai!costello although not in same league as Lafai didn’t let us down last week

I also wanted to add that Borough isn't good enough. He lacked effort on both of French's tries. He gave away a stupid penalty (mentioned above), and offers nothing from acting-half with. The effort really bothered me. Once Atkin was on, Borough shouldn't have come back on the field.

Come on guys, Wigan at Wigan…we held them for the majority of the game and odd decisions going against us swayed things ar times. Our forwards were brilliant, bit of tidying up and we’re there.
Great game but in the last 15 mins Wigan 10m back…I think not
But we’re a top 6 team, no doubt…well done Rowley Haggerty Inu and the physios etc. At the end of the season we’ll have ironed out those silly mistakes..

Listening to Rowley he said we ran out of troops…too many people did too many minutes…few changed position, structure changed for the worse .and 3 of tonights team probably missing next week

I Agree with Jim. A great effort. Beaten by the 2 Highest paid stars in Super League plus the Kendrew/Smith partnership.
Big raps to Tyler Dupree. Was it a 70 minute stint? Sidlow also.

It’s a game we should have won. Had 55% possession in 1st half and went in drawing. Massively dominant fit quarter 3 and only came up with one try. Lots of positives but that’s 3 games list that we should have won.

Lots of positives but that’s 3 games list that we should have won. They had players on the bench who added momentum in the final 10. We had a tiring bust pack, I’m happy we competed and got within 4. Been to too many games at Wigan and witnessed an absolute hammering. |
