According to the weather forecast Earlybath the high winds move away late afternoon, but then raining around kick off. Mind you it is only a forecast.

There's nothing like the excitement of the first match of the season. Last year counts for nothing and it all has to be worked at all over again. Arguably the worst round 1 fixture against the promoted team on their own ground, a full house, and we're missing our strike wingers.
Let's just enjoy the event and the atmosphere that goes with the best game. And if we do lose, don't go home all miserable.

But spot on opening game result means little nothing to get sad about if we lose.
On the good side the contracts signed suggest a really settled side which is brilliant.

Right getting ready to get up to Leigh, need to win this one and ensure a good start no nonsense like the Rhinos last night. Will be looking out for JJR leading the singing in the East Stand.
Hope there is a red wall of noise shouting the team on.

Getting nervous now!
Ended up having to watch on telly. Gutted that I’m not gonna be in what sounds like our biggest ever away following to a standard league game. But still shouting the lads on and couldn’t be more nervous if I was actually going

I think the impressive thing was our defence won the match for us.We won in a different way from last season.
Excellent win against a team we often come up short against at their place

Wow what a brilliant night. What a fantastic pre match show and the great gritty first match of the season….over 8000, seriously well done Leigh, well done, the much maligned Derek, I really hope you stay up.
On that basis off field should be a Grade A
On the field our defence, except for our R Edge superb…Brierley, Watkins, Lafai, Ackers, Partington all shone.Attack a bit stilted as was expected but I can’t remember the last win there.
And MTR, I was the only one to stand up and shout in the eEast Stand for the first Salford try…bit outnumbered
And our fans phenomenal, the only issue…wandering Jack Smith, always seems lost, hope we’ve had our match with him now
That’s Match/ show/ delivery is I assume what IMG are wanting
Its certainly set a standard for our first game on Thursday…I hope we can do something like that for pre match entertainment

You had a better view of JS than us RUB, but, as usual he seemed lost at times, sometimes looking st the screen, but I’ll watch the rerun

On TV the Salford fans were a lot louder than the Leigh ones even when they were on top
